I've got a hard time with Primal instinct because everyone thinks it is
played in different ways...

1 if i used a gun to maneuver at long range, can i cancel my gun strike with
P.I. and, say, play superior body flare instead ? what if i used a thrown
gate instead to maneuver at long range ?

2 if i played a strike : combat ends, can i still play P.I to choose another
strike (like using ivory bow on an opponent striking with hands for 1 in
response to my strike ?)

3 what about the cost of my previous strike ? is it retrieved or is it lost
? (the latter i guess)

thank you

Maneuvering with a weapon or strike card commits you to that strike.
You may not choose a different strike. If you cancel the strike, you
must then choose it again.

Yes.

Lost, correct.
