Battle Lines : Paris

Date of Event - 29th May 2010
Location of Event - Ludicité, Paris
# of players - 8
Winning Player - Pierre-Benoît LAGOEYTE
Winning Clan - Baali
Winning Faction - Bahari
Key Minion – Cybelle

6 Bahari, 2 Guide and Mentor (only 1 using actively the card to get
Monster for Karsh)

GAME

Round 1
David F (Karsh Imperator - Fight Guide and Mentor) > Pierre-Benoît
(Cybele Breat Beast - Bahari) > Quentin (Alastors - Bahari) > Jean-
Christophe (BB Mexico Little Sisters - Bahari)
Highlights: David was unable to perform a single action before being
ousted (high damage and Pentex on Karsh)
Score: Pierre-Benoît (Cybele Breat Beast - Bahari) scores GW 4

Julien (Baali Horde - Bahari) > David L (Daughter & votes - Bahari) >
Peyman (Gargoyle 26 Tupdog KRC - Guide and Mentor) > Vincent (Huitzi-
Cybele-Unnamed Baali - Bahari)
Highlights: Julien gets his VP with a Life Boon of 1 on Peyman. Cybele
was saved by a Secure Haven while in torpor. Peyman has Suddened all
the Villeins played on Cybele.
Score: Peyman (Gargoyle 26 Tupdog KRC - Guide and Mentor) GW 3 Julien
(Baali Horde - Bahari) 1

Round 2
Peyman (Gargoyle 26 Tupdog KRC - Guide and Mentor) > David F (Karsh
Imperator - Fight Guide and Mentor) > Vincent (Huitzi-Cybele-Unnamed
Baali - Bahari) > Pierre-Benoît (Cybele Breat Beast - Bahari)
Highlights: Once again, David was ousted before performing any actions
(due to the 15 points of the Tupdog KRCs he took). Peyman exhausted
his crypt in the duel and lost. Vincent controlled Huitzilopochtli and
Pierre-Benoît Cybele with Soul Gem; Cybele burns when she Calls the
Great Beast and puts into play the only copy of Huitzilopochtli he had
in his crypt, contesting it.
Score: Peyman (Gargoyle 26 Tupdog KRC - Guide and Mentor) 2 VP, Pierre-
Benoît (Cybele Breat Beast - Bahari)

Quentin (Alastors - Bahari) > Julien (Baali Horde - Bahari) > Jean-
Christophe (BB Mexico Little Sisters - Bahari) > David L (Daughter &
votes - Bahari)
Highlights: -
Score: Quentin (Alastors - Bahari) GW 2, Julien (Baali Horde - Bahari)
1, Jean-Christophe (BB Mexico Little Sisters - Bahari) 1

Final Round :

Pierre-Benoît (Cybele Breat Beast - Bahari) > Quentin (Alastors -
Bahari) > Peyman (Gargoyle 26 Tupdog KRC - Guide and Mentor) > Julien
(Baali Horde - Bahari)
Highlights: Julien is "sacrified" to the Tupdogs by the other players.
Then, as Peyman crypt becomes low, they influence out their vampires.
Peyman has no crypt left and is ousted, and Pierre-Benoît bloating
machine is too strong for Quentin.
Score: Pierre-Benoît (Cybele Breat Beast - Bahari) GW 2, Quentin
(Alastors - Bahari) 1, Peyman (Gargoyle 26 Tupdog KRC - Guide and
Mentor) 1

Looser's final:
Jean-Christophe (BB Mexico Little Sisters - Bahari) -> Vincent (Huitzi-
Cybele-Unnamed Baali - Bahari) -> David L (Daughter & votes - Bahari) -
> David F (Karsh Imperator - Fight Guide and Mentor)
Highlights: David is once against locked by a Pentex, but Vincent
promises him to get rid of it. Jean-Christophe is slowed by David who
Suddens his Hungry Coyote. David L calls some Reckless on David, Jean-
Christophe bleeds heavily with Walk of Caine and during Vincent's
turn, he gets down to 1 pool but has some defense (Unleash, Dmitra).
The Great Beast comes out, rushes some Daughters, the Pentex is
burned. Vincent had planned to deflect by detapping Dmitra with the
Metro Underground, but had forgot he would be at 1 pool and he
couldn't do it. He convinces David F. to rush the Sisters, in exchange
Vincent rushes the Daugthers. Hopefully, Jean-Christophe fails to kill
Vincent who gets a lot of pool during his turn. David L. is finally
ousted, leaving David F. at 3 pool. David F. backrushes to get rid of
the Unnamed with Karsh who disarms the Baali. He diablerizes it but
the Soul Gem brings Cybele into play. Eventually, Vincent ousts David
F. and Jean-Christophe.

Vincent (Huitzi-Cybele-Unnamed Baali - Bahari) GW 4

Global feeling
It was very nice to be able to mix the groups. Lilith's Blessing is
much more stronger than Guide and Mentor. Tupdogs are very very nasty
with their slave limitation removed.

I'm the Karsh player (David)...

Just to precise a few points:

On the first round I took Pentex on my first vampire out, Jimmy Dunn
(and not Karsh), and I was able to play a little. But as I took heavy
bleed by the Hermana I was only able to back rush to sruvive. A deal
with Quentin (playing Alastor) occured, but he made a very big
mistake, he forgot the Dummy Corporation of JC, the Hermana player,
and so missed the kill... And he has been killed by Cybele before his
next turn. Had he lived that we would have been able to oust Cybele
before having a duel.

On the last round, I dit not diablerize Unnamed, because of the soul
gem, I did dibalerize Dmitra, the other vampire, after having muti-
rushed Unnamed and Dmitra. I just missed a card to be able to kill
the great beast too (a claws of the dead for instance).

In conclusion, the storyline is pleasant but so unbalanced that it's
quite ridiculous. Lilith's Blessing being overpowered in such a
format, and 50times stronger than Guide and Mentor (That I choosed
only because I found Lilith's ridiculously overpowered). It's like WW
wanted the Bahari to win.

You can play a Secure Haven on a vampire who is in torpor, and it will
prevent their diablerie. It's just that if you play it on a ready
vampire and that vampire goes to torpor, they lose the Haven.
