Millenium Cultist Storyline Pordenone (Italy): Ventrue Antitribu Win

10 players meet last sunday in Pordenone to play Millenium Cultist
Event
Finalist list and seating order:
Tremere (bruise-bleed) -> Guruhi (Political) -> Ventrue Antitribu
(intercept, discard card with harbringers) -> Ravnos (Tsunda based
intercept + Smiling Jack)-> Ventrue Antitribu (bleed)
At start of the game Tsunda equip herselp with ivory bow + secret of
the magaji, so start to block both !Ventrue decks, but with 2
fortitude decks predator and prey cannot do nothing more than block..
Tremere predator cannot bleed due to heavy deflections on Tremere deck
so Tremere start to heavy bleed Guruhi player.
Recruit reverend actions never reach enought votes to pass until
Guruhi player was really close to be ousted, so everybody except
Tremere vote for Guruhi. After more than 1 hour of play Guruhi player
is near to be ousted so use a direct intervention on a bleed to
survive but cannot play a minion tap on is turn. So Tremere could
attack again next turn but he will be stopped by another DI from
Ravnos player with his prey at only 1 pool, so Gurhui could play
minion tap on EZE + voter captivation and go back to 11 pool in a
single round. :-)
Tremere's predator (me :-) decide to risk to attack a Tremere with all
tapped minions so deflect 2 bleed from Ravnos and attach with all
minions. Tremere player have 2 deflections in his hand but no wake so
was ousted.
Eze use his ability and his elicopter to bleed and vote his prey out
of the table so only 3 players remain at the table. Then an unblocable
cultist destroy smiling jack stopping Ravnos plan to oust quick his !
Ventrue prey.
Last turns was very tense
Guruhi let Ravnos take control of reverend only to play a King's Favor
on Tsunda but forgot Joseph O'Grady vote so his plan fail. Ravnos for
2 turns play cultists and equip all his minions with every weapon
contained in cultist deck. !Ventrue try to oust Gurhui, take reverend
controll but Guruhi will remain at 1 pool (again) so Reverend remain
untapped and Guruhi at 3 pool with 4 minions.
Guruhi attack Ravnos only to see 3 minions torporized so remain with 3
pool and one tapped minion.
Ravnos is ready to try to oust !Ventrue (9 pool and 1 untapped vampire
vs 7 minions) when the time finish so !Ventrue won the turnament
becouse Guruhj player enter 5th in final while !Ventrue enter 3rd
a nice and relaxed turnament, a lot of promo (we decide to open 1
cultist deck to each table, so 2 or 3 reverend for everybody) plus 1
"Gran Madre di Dio" for any players (I was a judge to EC so I have
some promo available :-)

Note: I hastly prepare this deck suturday evening so I place both Alan
Sovreign (base and ADV) + Church of the Order of St. Blaise in order
to improve use of Ventrue Investment but I forgot that this card is
NOT a location so I waste 2 cript and 1 master, and of course 1 draw 1
Alan and Church at any table :-(
For the rest is a no brain deck who bleed bleed bleed, deflect and try
to survive with fortitude. And use Delaying Tactics to block reverend
political actions :-D

Standing ovation for Mr Bean twin!
Even if I didn't made any point in the final, I'm pretty happy for
the !Ventrue win.
Also I'm really happy to ascertain the growing ability of my fellow
city players, the Gurhui player (Piscky) made 2 final in 2 tournement
in the same month.
Well done in Pordenone!
