A new player asked me a wierd question the other day. Does 'The Rack'
require the vampire to be ready, or controlled?

"Master: unique location. When this card is played or the controller
of this card changes, the controller chooses a ready vampire he or she
controls. That vampire gains up to 2 blood from the blood bank during
each of his or her untap phases as long as his or her controller
controls this location. A vampire controlled by another Methuselah can
steal this location for his or her controller as a (D) action."

Apparently the rack only checks if the vampire if ready an controlled
as it is played, and when it is stolen. Sooooo...
If I play the rack on uriah winter, and he hits torpor, can he still
get the blood?

Then, if he get's passed away, he won't get the blood right?(I don't
control him and the location, card text)

So he gets beat up by my abusive prey, who sends Uriah back to my
torpor..he'll get the blood?(he's not ready, but still controlled, but
rack isn't checking)

Finally, we banish poor Uriah...and he goes into my uncontrolled
region does he still get the 2 blood? (he's not ready, OR controlled,
but rack still isn't checking, and the rack is it's own location, not
specifically on the vampire)

Ready (card text).

When it is "targetted", yes.

Yes.

Right.

Right.

No. Since he has no controller, the Rack isn't controlled by the same
(nonexistent) controller.

Ignore the question I asked twice?
