Ok, this tourney in Brisbane has got me excited :) It will
be my first. I am looking for suggestions on how to build a
Gangrel Dominate/Unblockable bleed/carve up in combat deck.

I am open to all advice as I am not sure how to handle a
tournament environment. The cards I have to build the deck
from are a Starter display and a half of Jyhad, about a
display of DS and some noteables from Sabbat and AH (Daring
the Dawn & Dog Pack).

The deck I take will be either this Gangrel one, A Ventrue
Ancillia Empowerment deck (has voting superiority with about
9 prince or higher vamps, Elysium Versiallies, Ven HQ, Ven
Directorate Assembly) and is designed to get a small amount
of big vamps out and call Ancillia Emp.
Or my Giovanni & Followers of Set 'EVIL BASTARD DECK'

Suggestions are always appreciated.

Hmm. Tough. The Dominate/Unblockable bleed angle is easy, but the carve up in
combat as well is difficult. Being good in combat means having lots of combat
cards (so you are consistiently scary), which works directly against being a
good bleed deck. That, and if you are making your bleeds unblockable, when are
you going to get to use your combat cards? Yeah, you might be sitting next to a
Rush deck (although from what I hear, Rush decks are not all that popular
anywhere but in the US, as Josh, James, and I don't live there :-), but it
isn't a good idea to devote a hefty chunk of your deck to a strategy that only
works in a limited situation.

I'd go for a pretty much straight Dom/Pro deck focusing on Illiana, Zebulon,
and Greggor (using 2 or 3 of each), with strong Dom bleed
(Govern/Scouting/Conditioning/Bondings), a lot of Form of Mist, and light to
medium stealth from Earth Control. For combat, I'd go light, with some solid
defense in the form of Obedience (along with Wakes to use them and Deflection
to go with the Wakes) and 6 or so Flesh of Marble (it really screws a Pot Rush
deck). Just to keep people on their toes, I'd also throw in a handfull of Wolf
Claws type cards (4-6), which also makes it profitable to throw in a Grave
Robbing or two.

With PRO and DOM, you can pull off a bleed of 4 for 2 blood at +4 stealth,
after S:CEing out of a block (Govern, Bonding, Mist, Earth Control), which
isn't to shabby, or a bleed of 6 at +3 stealth for 3 blood (replace the Bonding
with a Conditioning). You might want to have more Threats than Conditioning, as
you are going to run out of blood right quick, however (so you'll also need
good blood management and hunting grounds).

I had a stab at building a deck following that theme. It is
probably a bit disjointed but I am hoping I can receive some
help on that area.

* Cards I will have to borrow off a friend
# Cards I may need more of?!?

CRYPT
Ingrid Rossler x2
Iliana
Stanislava
Camille Devereux x3 *need 2 more
Badger x3 *need 2 more
Chandler Hungerford x2
Bear Paw

LIBRARY

Zoo HG x2 *need 1 more
Inbase Discotek x2
Heidelburg Castle, Germany
Gangrel Revel
Minion Tap x3
Dominate x3
Animalism x3
Protean
Information Highway x2
Guardian Angel
Anachronism

Army of Rats x3
Shepherds Innocence
Arson x2
Govern the Unaligned x3
Bums Rush x2 <could probably get rid of them

Earth Control x5 *need 1 more
Horrific Countenance x4
Conditioning x4
Daring the Dawn
Foreshadowing Destruction

Deflection x6
Rats Warning x6

Soul Gem of Etrius x2 <maybe lose one
Shackles of Enkidu
IR Goggles

Conquer the Beast x2
Claws of the Dead x3
Wolf Claws x4
Form of Mist x4 #
Earth Meld x3
Form of the Ghost x5
Song of Serenity
Quick Meld
Skin of Steel x4

The Idea is to have a constant drain on my prey via Army of
Rats & unblockable bleeds (via HC, GtU, C, FoM) while
preventing myself being bled via either Deflection or combat
readiness. The 3 high cap Vamps (Ingrid, Iliana & Stani)
will be doing most of the bleeding wiht Camille (need more,
love the art) and Badger acting as combat scares (maybe a
bit of back-up bleed). Chandler will act as a bit of a
utility, mainly equipping and transferring items as needed
(via Heidelburg).

I could probably fit a few Life Boons in there too (if I can
find somebody to lend them to me :)

I would add a couple of Iliana's in if I had them :(

Suggestions/improvements are always appreciated

The idea can work, but in my play enviroment I can expect a lot of bleed
bounce and 2 or 3 Archon investigations per deck. With that in mind a
deck like you posted will kill your preys prey which will further hinder
you in ousting your prey.
I would say: loose some of the bleed (bleed for 3 and not more) and have
a little more combat and use a couple of Kiss Of Ra to "eat" your way
through your prey.
Also bare in mind that a deck like that will get an easy first victory
point, but after that the whole table will try to disrupt your deck
since you are a danger to all.

Succes on the tournament,
Gr, Tim
