How would you build an Elimelech deck?

I just can't decide what to do with him. Rush? Block? Stealth bleed?
Power bleed? Black Hand trickiness?
There is one Elimelech deck in the TWDA but I'd love to see some more
decks to get inspiration.

my 2 cents : show a bunch a VtES cards to kids (I did it with children of
friends after making the mistake of saying that even if you don't play
Yu-gi-oh, you do play another CCG - and yes I couldn't handle the pressure
of them insisting on seeing the cards). The 10-year old one (a girl) had a
crush on Elimelech, while the 6-year old (a boy) was asking what "sociopath"
meant. Repeat the process and you're pretty much set. I can't wait to make
Elimelech Sociopath, especially after the kids made up a song with
"sociopath" in it, to the dismay of the parents.

Five blood is a lot to pay. Especially for a combo that leaves you
vulnerable to being Grappled and hit for 10. (Signpost at POT, Slam
to short, Grapple, hit for 5, press from Grapple, don't have enough
blood left to pay for Coma...)
If I'm going the Wall route, I'm thinking Claws or Bone Spur is the
way to go. Two agg is a good deterrent. Agg weapons (+ DW) will get
you there too, and you can even go ranged and reduce the chances of
nasty accidents. (I'd probably run some backup prevent in either
case.)
I don't think rushing with Elimelech is a very good idea - he's an 11-
cap who has to use Telepathic Tracking or Thoughts Betrayed for anti-
S:CE, neither of which is really very good. He doesn't have a built
in rush. (He does have built in +bleed...) He also does his best
fighting at close, which, as a wise man once said, gets vampires
killed. Shakar and Fueled do make if very, very tempting, though.

Agreed. A Blessing makes Elimelech +3 fun. It might even be enough
anti-S:CE to make rush doable in some metas - it certainly makes
casual rush and/or bruise bleed much more effective. His first
strike, +1 strength, and pro make him very threatening by themselves;
I'm just not sure it's worth all the extra infrastructure to make him
a dead predictable rusher.

Elimelech strikes at first strike... Disengage for grapple *or* Skin
of Steel for a strike hiting for X...
sorry, i forgot the inclue Amaranth to compense de blood cost e makes
Fueled effective...

I vote for all of the above. Play Shakar, Bowl, Swallowed by the
Nights, Murmur of the False Wills, Watchtower: Four Ride Forth and a
good aggraweapon like Ivory Bow or Sengir Dagger. Light stealth gets
you past chump blockers, aggravated first strikes keep you pretty safe
against hit back. Couple of Autonomic Masteries against scary combat
and allies. Fill the rest of the deck with whatever you feel like.

My take on Elimelech was that he is the ultimate control vampire.
He can reduce a bleed by 5 (Telepathic Counter+Truth in Ink+Confusion of
the Eye) with the fallback option of Dominate flick.
He can untap and lend intercept around the table (Babble), prevent
damage in combat between other minions (Martyr's Resilience) which are
caused by him in the first place (Lunatic Eruption). He can even throw
Frenzy and Vampiric Disease on said minions to spread the love further.
He can bring out other Sabbat minions cheap (Govern, The Call) and make
them cardinals (Praetorian Backer) for some serious vote power.
With his +1 strength and First Strike, he can even pull out one of the
funnies combats I have ever seen - Wooden Stake+Amaranth. With
Telepathic Tracking, you take care about both S:CE and Dodge and Rolling
with the Punches saves your ass in a grapple.
Alternatively, instead of Amaranth, you can Graverob selected vampires
to get your Stake back with an added value. Pity they don't untap.

I was thinking Reunion - Freak - Govern Superior and bring out a ton of
Black Hand buddies.
Then you can do whatever you want really. Preatorian backer for votes, make
a Cardinal or two and off you go. You can then either just vote, or you can
add in Philippe Rigaud and go Dom/obf/pro with Fueled by Heart's Blood and
other event nastiness.
Tattoo signal, a watchtower of your choice and then all that remains is
trying to stay alive somehow before your stuff goes off :-)

I didn't get to hear it myself yet, but I'll give it a shot if there is an
opportunity. Might be difficult, I'll have to lure the kids into singing it
without drawing agg from the parents - they're already a bit nervous when
the kids sing it in the street, in a park etc. :))
