Another 11-player tournament and so another occasion with two four-player
and one 3-player heats, which is not ideal but still good fun. The
following Methuselahs competed for glory alone, since we are still having
problems with prize support:

Rob treasure won with a very nice Tzimisce intercept combat deck. he is
going to post it on the Net, possible via me. 4 VPs in the final, 9 or so
to get there.

Barny baker was second with a Dominate deflect, tap 'n' bleed deck. It
got royally kicked by combat, weenie swarm bleed and politics. 1 VP in
the final, 5 to get there [all but 1 in the last heat].

3rd equal were:
Jon cooper with a weenie animalism-fortitude deck. This was a nice use of
the metagame: it LOOKED like a trap/undead persistence deck, but in fact
it was just loads of little bleeds for 1 with fairly robust vamps.
Thoroughly kicked by intercept combat. 0 VP in the final, 6 to get there.

James coupe playing what he threatened, namely Presence tap/bleed and
Majesties. Some interesting cards turned up - his vote defence was
treachery, for example, and he used inferior distraction to cycle cards.
Nice! 0VP in the final, 4 to get there.

Me, myself, i - Legbiter aka James Mcclellan - playing my stealthy voty
bashy deck, now with new improved temptation of greater power. A truly
TERRIFIC card, which won me my first VP and would have won me at least
one more in the final had i not been STUPIDLY greedy. Same tariff as
james C overall. Also, for the first time EVER i beat William lee fair
and square in a game of jyhad oops sorry VTES - Fame, rush, three KRCs
did him over.

Not in the final and accordingly pissed off to various extents were:

William Lee playing some weird shit involving Psyches, blurs, 8 million
raptors and obfuscate. he got 3 or so VPs but came back from the dead in
one game that i kibbitzed on. Great stuff!

mark baxter playing Lasombra. Didn't see too much of the deck but
doubtless i will in future! Dunno how many he got, but it wasn't more
than 1 or so.

Pierre rebstock playing Dawn op/Weather control. Big vamps were a BIG
problem for poor Pierre, and maybe he was unlucky with his pool
management.

Anam Sheader playing Tzimisce, and potentially therefore a SERIOUS thorn
in the Treasure side. She got 1 VP, i think, and was a bit unlucky not to
have got more. nice deck, it seemed to me.

John Keech playing Gangrel bleedy combatty stuff. A good deck, and got at
least 1 VP. But john got overexcited at least once, and should have got
more.

Michael mcclellan aka Anklebiter with his tweaked Brujah Child
Experiments deck. Got 1 VP but maybe he was a bit too passive.

So, the next Portsmouth tournament is on may 7th, when hopefully we will
have some german guys n gals over. Before that is the London do, and this
time i WILL go [couldn't make the last one cos of trapping a nerve in my
back. OK now, though.

For those who WEREN'T at Louisa's house last Monday [BAAAAD Luck!] John is
talking about a very interesting tactical situation which developed in a
6-player game. Ian Stubbington won this game and fair play to him, but
unusually he did so with a stealth-bleed deck against two strong combat
decks. The reason? John and i kicked each other good and hard because of
seating order is part of it, but also Anam played a Revelations which put
John in an irrationally BAd Mood, and he spent far too many resources trying
to remove it given that Anam was dead meat next round due to votes from me
anyhow. Anyway i ended up with no KRC when it mattered so i Kindred
restructured so that i could oust myself to give John a VP on the old Combat
Decks Must Stick Together motto.

Here's the FULL results. Any Atlanta guys or gals but expecially David Tatu
or Todd if you are reading this, please email me to make sure it's getting
through. i'm not sure that my emails to Todd are working, y'see.
