The server at news.individual.net is no longer accepting my posts
(though I can still read through that server).

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

If you can read this message, it will mean I had no problem posting

I have been experiencing sporadic problems, which I thought was due to
breaking in a new computer.

Rob replied to one of my earlier posts, so i don't think i am having
any problems (aside from the changeover when i was still trying to
connect to news.cis.dfn or whatever it was and it refused my
connection).

Dunno, but mine are certainly different. Outgoing just uses the regular
SMTP server. The specific behavior I'm getting it a request for passwd
auth when sending messages, sometimes. When it asks, it always barfs
and dies, leaving not even a Draft of the message.

Yeah, that's what I get. Only without the "sometimes".

Are you using the same email address to send from that you registered the
account with?
