If Google or your newsreader mangles all of the tabs in that report,
it is duplicated here:

with a few really poor pictures.

aha. the version i got in email from the vtes yahoo group didn't have
tabs, and was a little confusing since i am not quite up to speed on the
names of the newer vamps and so thought some players might be vamps, heh.

however, this version here looked fine to me in my newsreader (Thunderbird).

also, cool report. seems fairly easy to collect the info for something
like this, but gives more of a feel for the actual games. Thanks for
going to the effort to do this, Jeff. :)

ps: any chance of seeing oscar's tzim deck?

Excellent way of writing a report! And a very cool winning deck.

Hi, just one dumb question, how come did David Shoup played with an
irregular crypt and (i presume) nobody noticed?!? Or did you have any
special rules regarding this?

In round 2 you wrote that he had Tara (group 5), Carlak (group 5) and
Horatio Ballard (group 3) ?!?

Good report thou, cheers
Ricardo Marta
Prince of Lisbon
Portugal

Seems infinitely more likely that Jeff just accidentally recorded the
game state incorrectly. Especially as those vampires have virtually
nothing in common.

Yes, he appears to have an illegal crypt.

They have Presence in common, and can all be princes. He played HB,
then Ventrue Headquarters, then called the vote to become prince of
Chicago.

It is unfortunate that it was not caught by the players at the table
nor by the judge.

I don't know, but since from round 1 he used:

Victor Pelletier
Mukhtar Bey
Mustafa, The Heir

He has presence, fortitude, dominate and probably celerity to use
Scalpel Tongue. They are all Princes (well, Pelletier can became one
or a Justicar) and Horatio can became a Prince too.

I've seen a similar deck but without Tara or Carlak, that's why i
asked...

Let's wait for Jeff's answer.

Yeah, I stand corrected. Jeff's records were correct, and deck had an
illegal crypt. Good thing it didn't win :-)

Don't worry about it; that's the most common variation.

RE: the illegal crypt... In the final round, torpor was proven an
adequate solution to any grouping problems which may occur during
play. :)

I'll be dropping Jane Sims for a less crappy vampire. I'll probably go
with 3 or more of the Count. His cycling special was key. Maybe switch
the war ghouls, fiendish tongues and the TtCB for more Deep Songs.

2GW and 9VP on the day.

Other legal reasons include Hostile Takeover. Graverobbing. Can think
of other reasons, but those are the most likely.
