This is a formal Request For Discussion (RFD) for the creation of a
world-wide unmoderated Usenet newsgroup rec.autos.makers.hyundai.
This is not a Call for Votes (CFV); you cannot vote at this time.
Procedural details are below.
Newsgroup line:
rec.games.trading-cards.marketplace.startrek Buy/sell/trade of Startrek CCG.
RATIONALE: rec.games.trading-cards.marketplace.startrek
Star Trek: Collectible Card Game (CCG) cards (and other Star Trek
related items) are collected by literally millions of people
worldwide. Current discussion about Star Trek:CCG is in
rec.games.trading-cards.startrek. The current charter for
rec.games.trading-cards.startrek prohibits buy/sell/trade posts.
Currently the only place to post buy/sell/trade posts is
rec.games.trading-cards.marketplace, which currently receives posts
for all gaming cards.
Splitting off will not only create less traffic in
rec.games.trading-cards.marketplace but also potentially keep people
from violating the charter of rec.games.trading-cards.startrek.
CHARTER: rec.games.trading-cards.marketplace.startrek
Articles suitable for posting to
rec.games.trading-cards.marketplace.startrek are those pertaining to
any topic related to the buying, selling or trading of Star Trek: CCG.
Expected topics of discussion include (but are not limited to):
- Questions and information about where to purchase Star Trek:CCG
cards.
- Buy, Sell, and Trade posts for Star Trek:CCG.
- Notification of resources (on the Internet or otherwise) that would
be of general interest to Star Trek:CCG gamers and collectors.
Inappropriate posts would include:
* Spamming and excessive cross-posting. As the issues discussed in
this group will be Star Trek:CCG-specific, there should not be a
need for much legitimate cross-posting.
* Flaming and general inappropriate behavior. Although unmoderated,
the users of this group should maintain a level of common courtesy,
refraining from excessive foul language or posts that are meant to
be disrespectful of other users.

PROCEDURE:
This is a request for discussion, not a call for votes. In this phase
of the process, any potential problems with the proposed newsgroups
should be raised and resolved. The discussion period will continue
for a minimum of 21 days (starting from when the first RFD for this
proposal is posted to news.announce.newgroups), after which a Call For
Votes (CFV) may be posted by a neutral vote taker if the discussion
warrants it. Please do not attempt to vote until this happens.
All discussion of this proposal should be posted to news.groups.
