GUARDIANS OF ORDER TO PUBLISH SUPERHERO ROLE-PLAYING GAME IN 2002
Guardians Of Order, Inc. gave the adventure gaming industry insight
into their publication plans for next year when they announced today
that they will produce a superhero role-playing game entitled SILVER
AGE SENTINELS in summer 2002. Conceived and developed by a talented
team of Origins Award winning and nominated writers and game
designers, SILVER AGE SENTINELS will present one of the most
comprehensive and flexible character creations systems ever released.
"SILVER AGE SENTINELS marks a new era for Guardians Of Order's
cinematic Tri-Stat System, and a fresh approach to four-colour
superhero role-playing," said President Mark C. MacKinnon. "The
industry needs a solidly supported and fully encompassing superhero
game; many of our customers believe Tri-Stat is the answer and
currently use BIG EYES, SMALL MOUTH to fill their demand. Next year,
SILVER AGE SENTINELS will give them exactly what they want: the tools
and guidance to play the entire range of superhuman power levels in
their adventures, from street vigilantes to spandex-clad heroes to
galactic entities. The year 2002 will be the year of the Hero."
Guardians Of Order also explained that while SILVER AGE SENTINELS will
invoke the themes and ideals of Silver Age comics (such as heroism,
teamwork, and good versus evil) placed in a modern context, the game
will also be ideal for a wide range of superhuman campaign types,
including: far-future Earth, high-fantasy, World War II, modern-day
urban darkness, near-future fascist America, Gold Age pulp, Victorian
steampunk, and many others. Starting in September 2001, Guardians Of
Order will feature a special section on their website that showcases
the creation of the game. The section will be updated monthly, with
production art, designer notes, web chats, character stats, and much
more.
