Kickboxing doesn't work in 3.2.0

Has anyone else discovered this? Kickboxing gems in a box doesn't
work anymore, the glass gems aren't destroyed. This used to be the
best way to separate the glass from the gems. I put all my gems
(suitably named) in a box and start kicking away, but only got lots of
"THUD!". What is going on? Was this changed? What gem identifying
alternatives exist?

I find that the best alternative is to find a co-aligned unicorn (does
this work with non-co-aligned?)
Throw an unID'ed gem to it. It will catch it. If it "graciously" accepts
your gift, it's glass. If it "gratefully" accepts your gift, it's a gem.

So you can throw an un-IDed gem at a non-coaligned unicorn to ID it.
If it is a gem, it will "hesitatingly" accept it, and if it is glass
it will "graciously" accept it. Note that this is a spoiler file as of
3.1.3, but since throwing gems at a co-aligned unicorn seems to work
in 3.2, I would imagine it would still work with non-co-aligned too.

What is going on? The DevTeam have removed kickboxing.
Was this changed from 3.1.3? Yes.
What gem identifying alternatives exist? Scrolls etc. of identify.
(alternatively, leave behind all soft gems)

I try engraving with them. If they engrave in the dust they are soft,
If they engrave in the floor they are hard. I have never found hard
glass; although, there are some gems that will not engrave in the
floor (dilithum crystals I think)
