[UnNethack] Bug?

I'm giving a try to UnNethack due to recent post (and currently boring
extinctionism game on vanila / NAO), on un.nethack.nu (Unix UnNetHack
Version 3.5.2 - last build Tue Oct 13 17:10:50 2009.)
Applying a magic whitle it happens that my cat get teleported over a bear
trap. --> The housecat suddenly falls asleep!
This is 100% reproductible (at least on this single bear trap, cannot check
right now with other bear trap).
Therefore probably a bug. Or is it a new strange feature in UnNethack?
