After starting a game,
After I got a new pet, I want to give a name on it
instead of "your dog" or "your cat".

Is it possible to give a name on pets? If so, how?

(I know that setting an environment variable before
starting a game will give a pet the name, but this is
not the case if I got a new pet.)

hit 'C', then it will give you a prompt to pick an object ("For
instructions, type ?", move the cursor to your pet, select it with '.',
then type in its name.
