Get Omega or any quest-enriched Angband variant (Zangband, GSNband).

try ragnarok, it is the only roguelike with graphics I could stand.

Omega, Ragnaroc; Nethack has quests and plot, although you have to go deep
to find it. Crawl is probably the closest to having plot of any roguelike
without plot (so it might do what you want).

Alphaman has lots of plot, more (and much better) than ADOM.

The newer Angband variants have quests, but they're even worse than
ADOM's.
