That's what I count - anyone care to corroborate? 42 is a nice number
to get :) I've yet to test out the vast majority to check how many

Is there judging or voting or anything of that sort? I'm interested in
checking some of these out, but I only have time to play a few of the
best ones.

Judging is a bit harsh of a term. It is looking like the committee
will be evaluating them all, however. Likely on the same sort of 3
point scale as last year:
http://www.roguetemple.com/7drl/2010/

Note: This isn't meant to be some authoritative ranking of the games!

Since there are a lot of games, and we do want to give them all a good
try, this will take a few weeks.

I have collected links to downloads and announcements for all games on
RogueBasin. However, one entry from your list eludes me:

Could you provide me with a link?

I haven't played even close to all of them but Vicious Orcs and Pitman
are definitely worth checking out.

Scratch that. I identified it as SRL. Everything agrees. We have 42 7DRLs!

You can vote on the Roguelike Database if the game has a RogueBasin
page. To that end I strongly encourage all developers to create a
page for their game on RogueBasin. It's very easy to do by following
the template of another game:

http://roguebasin.roguelikedevelopment.org/index.php?title=Category:7DRLs

To vote for games on the IRLDB go here:

http://www.roguetemple.com/irldb/

Tick the 7drl box only under Category on the left, and under fields
add "my rating", "my experience" and "release date". Hit search and
then click on the "Released" column title twice to order them. The
latest 7drls will then be listed first, and you can click on the
rating/experience columns to rate them and note how familiar with the
game you are. You can also click on the numbers under the feedback
column to add a review.

You need a RogueTemple account to be able to vote. Games sometimes
take a day or so to appear in the database after a RogueBasin page has
been made for them.

I am yet to upload my game, just got back from a busy long weekend
holiday and have not had access to the internet. (I am at work at the
moment)

Nice indeed...

After all it IS the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the
Universe, and Everything". :)

45 successes in total then. This compares with 50 last year. I guess
we're evening out in numbers?

Oops, 46 actually - stupid me.

According to RogueBasin we had 98 entrants, which was more than last
year, but the number of winners has reduced. At least one of those we
can blame on the events in Japan... the rest I blame on the 7drl blog
for distracting devs from their work! :P

You can blame challenge dates too. I almost failed because 8th of march
is Women day, at least in Russia, so I was trying to please my wife and
daughter whole day :)
And most part of 7th of march was spent in preparations.
