Well, acid, of course, but the rest, no.
As for the artifact question, it's simply this: if I've id'ed (but not
*id*'ed) it, and it still isn't in the list of known artifacts, can I
assume it's a random one?
I've also not yet found any free action except via ring (and Defender,
but I can't waste the weapon slot with such a wimpy attack weapon).
Geesh. It's a wonder this guy is still alive.

This is actually kind of common. Keep a lookout for Shields of
Resistance, and of course the Shield of Celegorm. It would also be a
good idea to carry Potions of Resistance around.

Yes indeed. I wish the maintainer would add an option to display random
artifacts in the "known" list, but doing so would probably increase the
length of said list by a factor of 4. It probably won't happen.

OK, then, which weapon are you using? A char. dump would be useful
here, so I could give better advice. Free Action is essential at your
depth, and the elemental resistances are nearly so, so I would probably
wield that Defender even if it's a wimpy weapon. Rings of Damage or
Slaying can boost your attack power plenty, even if that Defender is
only (+9,+9) and you get 1 attack/round. And remember, Boots/Gloves of
Free Action could show up anytime.
I wouldn't go deeper than 1700' or so until you've found those
resistances and gotten your stats to near-maximum. Good luck....

That Defender will also cover the elemental resists that are missing.
Get your number of attacks and your damage bonus up as high as possible,
and carry a big missile weapon and lots of ammo to add ranged killing
power.
(You're lucky to have shards covered. My Zangband characters never seem
to find shards resistance except for the rings. But then I've never made
it to Cyuberdemon depth yet, so it's acceptable for now.)
