Also, how do I find out how far along the lawful scale I am?
Thanks!
Hi Arccos,
It's a little quiet in this newsgroup these days, so you'll probably
find it takes a while for anyone who knows what they're talking about to
respond. While we're waiting I'll try to help as best I can :^)
The '@' problem you describe sounds a bit like this bug:
http://www.adom.de/adom/report.php3?ident=4454
I can only suggest trying alt-q as mentioned in the comment, or seeing
if you can bind the command to another key.
For the Chaotic/Lawful scale, you can get a very coarse-grained idea of
your alignment from the alignment indicator, which runs most chaotic to
most lawful (IIRC) as:
C- C C+ CN NC N- N= N+ NL LN L- L L+
There is a scroll ("...of Balance", I think) which reveals your
alignment more precisely (I think as a vision with a set of scales
balancing black and white stones, but I can't quite remember all the
details anymore...)
Hth,

I had the problem as well and it was solved by using "alt gr"-q . This is
the way to write @ on a German keyboard which might be the cause of this
bug since adom was probably compiled on a German windows...
You can also edit the adom.kbd file: the keyboard shortcuts are defined in
this file. The only problem is finding it on a windows pc, but the search
tool might do the trick.

I recall it too, but I'm not sure either...

It may be that you have an American keyboard layout - try using
shift-2. If this works you should look at changing your Windows
settings.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Alt-Q seems to work fine for Windows, but I'm
trying out the DOS version now. Futher than I've ever got before now with a
Beastfighter, and still going strong!

So far as I know, there are no such alignments as "C+" and "L-".
