Medusa path

[Yosemite Sam]

In a journey that took me all the way back to Mine's End to find
a nymph for teleportitis I now have two ways to get to Medusa
because I found an amulet of magical breathing.

I understand it's not getting there that's difficult, but getting back.

Medusa was always a no-teleport level. (Unless changed in recent
versions.)

You don't need teleport-control to get there; digging is enough.

You can get back by a cursed potion of gain level.

There's also other means, though; Vlad's tower has water walking
boots. Blessed potion of levitation is an option (unless you have
the more flexible ring of levitation). Building a boulder path
across the sea is an option. Freezing the water is possible. Etc.

Killed medusa, but didn't make it on the next level very well. An
Olog-Hai troll got me after a polymorph trap set me there with only
yellow dragon scales for armor. As for the amulet of magical breathing,
not too bad. I was worried water would destroy everything like
food rations, etc, but it was reserved to the usual... potions
diluting, scrolls clearing, and metal objects rusting. It looks
like grease is suitable for this, since one water swim only
removes one layer of grease.

This specific species is the reason why I sometimes choose to genocide
all 'T'.
