Ciao,

WHERE IS ROGUE/HACK/&tc.
BS = bsd-sources
CSG = comp.sources.games
Game Version FTP Location Directory
---- ------- -------- ---------
ROGUE v5.3 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume1/rogue/*
This is Tim Stoehr's clone of rogue. Pretty portable. I was able
to get it to work on VMS, and I suspect it should be easy to get
it to work on any form of UNIX.
ROGUE v5.5 uunet.uu.net /$(BS)/games/rogue/*
I think this is an update by Tim Stoehr, but don't quote me.
Get the Makefile from the previous version, however.
UROGUE v1.02 bu.edu /src/games/Urogue.tar.Z
it is distributed as an object file with some configuration
code, workable ONLY for BSD UNIX systems. I know of no public
source code locations for urogue. (sigh)
LARN v12.2 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume11/larn/*
This works on VMS and (I think) MSDOS as well as UNIX.
hack v1.0.3 uunet.uu.net /$(BS)/games/hack/*
nethack v1.0 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume2/nethack/*
nethack v2.2 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume3/nethack2.2/*
nethack v2.3 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/nethack2.3/*
nethack v3.0 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume7/nethack3/*
nethack v3p9 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume10/nethack3p9/*
Patch level 10 has been distributed and can be found in the same
directory as version 3 patch-level 9.
nh-spoilers v? uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume11/nh-spoilers/*
nh-spoilers2 v5.35 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume12/nh-spoilers2/*
omega v0.60.2 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume3/omega/*
omega v0.71 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume5/omega2/*
omega v0.75 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume7/omega3/*

umoria v4.87 uunet.uu.net /$(CSG)/volume5/umoria2/*

there MUST be source for UROGUE floating around there somewhere...
we are running UROGUE (version=??) on XENIX, and I used to get a lot
of core dumps unexpectedly... sometimes it would happen in the
HELL-MONSTER ROOM, sometimes it'd be in conjunction with a scroll
of electricity... harumph!!
