I was watching a Korean movie called "High School Girl Get Married"
and the father in the movie was playing a solitare game with hanafuda.

Does anyone know how to play?

The only thing I could see was that it was lined up like solitare and
it seemed that the rain card was wild (he said lucky.)

Also in the movie the cards were used for fortune telling, anyone hear
of that?

Pretty much anything can be used for divination - tarot, mah-jongg tiles,
tea leaves... so why not hwatu as well? I'll look into the solitaire game
and the fortune telling aspects next time I go to Korea. Thanks for the tip.
