From http://www.pagat.com/jass/klabberjass.html :
"There are many related but slightly different games that go by names
similar to Klabberjass. For example there is the international
two-handed game Clobiosh, also known as Klob, Bela or (in some books)
Kalabriasz, there is the Dutch national game Klaverjas, and there is
Clabber, a game played in Indiana, USA."

This sounds like a variant of Klabberjass. Check out the rules at
http://www.pagat.com/jass/klabberjass.html to see if that's it.

Thanks for the help - but the games that you guys tried to help me out
with are maybe similar but not quite the right thing. Guess "us ole
hoosiers" here in good ole Evansville, Indiana are the only ones that
play this game. Once again thanks for trying to help.

That's right - Evansville Clabber is not quite like any of the other
games of this family. I have now placed a page about Clabber on my web
site at http://www.pagat.com/jass/clabber.html
I would be grateful for any comments. For the moment you have to go
direct to the page - I will add it into the site indexes at the next
general update.
