I don't know about here in this group, but there is one on the WWW
that is pretty complete. Go to

When I started the above mentioned site, I intended it to become *part
of* the FAQ for this newsgroup. What I was hoping, and still hope, is
that eventually *someone else* would take on the job of producing the
real (top level) FAQ, which would be posted regularly to this group and
the other appropriate places where usenet FAQs live.

The real FAQ would contain questions like:

Q: What are the rules of xxxx card game?
A: Try looking in http://www.netlink.co.uk/users/pagat/
[and insert any other appropriate sites here]
If the answer is not there, or you disagree with the rules given
there, post your question or comment to rec.games.playing-cards

Q: Where can I find a computer program which plays yyyy card game?
A: Try looking in http://www.webwaves.com/games/card/ ...

Q: How can I play zzzz card game on line?
A: [suggest a few appropriate places]

etc. etc.

This newsgroup has been running for nearly two years so there must by
now be several people with a clear idea of what questions are frequently
asked.

Any volunteers?
