Has anyone seen the cover/shield over the Flipper board in this Jurassic
Park before? Mine doesn't have it and I see no mention of it in the
game manual. Was this a later addition?

It's supposed to be there, although it is often missing.

If you're talking about the little cardboard flap it is just to help
prevent all the carbon dust from getting on the components but it really
won't affect the game negatively in a home environment where the machine
is not powered on 24 hours a day.

Nope - not the cardboard flap, but the metal cover/shield around the
flipper board mounted on the inside left of the cabinet.

Interesting. Is there a part number for this? I'm just curious.

That grey cover is cardboard, not metal.

Ah - thanks. I had previously assumed it was metal to protect the board
should the playfield come down on it, but as was said in an earlier post
it is just a dust shield so cardboard makes sense.

Is there a part number for these?
