too cool!
Never seen a shuttle launch - that has to be pretty cool.
-Craig
Will you be doing a "shop job" on the shuttle? Looks like it needs
it.
Jimmy
WOW! Nice lanyard.
That thing in the background is pretty cool too:)

You know...you should have had a Gottlieb Atlantis in the picture too.
Now that would have been impressive! HEH HEH

Nice Picture Ed, !
I think the Shuttle could use a new coat of paint, How often does that
happen ??
BTW, I Love showing Dr, Eds Pictures to friends & Family !
Pin-Del,

So the Shuttle is no gleaming craft from the movies, but looks more
like a hardworking space tug. She is no garage queen, but a noble
working craft.

Thanks for the Info Dr Ed,
Either way you have a lot of Proud friends here who love seeing these
Pictures !
Please Post a Link to the rest of the Pictures, I'm sure I'm not the
only one here Who would love to look over them ! .
Now where are we putting the LEDs =)
Pin-Del,

Did you guys sort out the glue for the tiles then? I remember there
were some tile dropping off through heat on re-entry issues.
Puts my malfunctioning kickout saucer on my Medusa into
perspective :-)

Very nice Ed, thanks for sharing. I use to get up early and listen to
the blast off's on AM radio as we didn't even have TV at the start of
the program. Would give my right arm to take a ride on that, but not
$35 million :)

Could you let me know where to pick up some of that adhesive ? As I
haven't find the right stuff to glue up some inserts.
Great pic.
Jim
Great picture Ed...thanks for sharing. My kids loved it!

It should also challenge everyone else with a lanyard to get out and take
some cool pics with the lanyard prominently displayed.
I guess I might get a lanyard one day...

Great idea. I for one will see if we can get one of the "dancers" in
Allentown to sport an RGP lanyard for a photo. How cool would that
look? (Not that I have ever been to one of those clubs)

I still remember the first launch with Young and Crippen and I still watch
the launches to this day on the NASA channel.
Not sure how many of you guys are RUSH fans, but try listening to their song
called Countdown from the Signals album, while watching a shuttle launch on
tv. Still gives me chills to watch the launch to this day.
Again Ed, thanks for the pics!!!!

You are one lucky fellow! I was a semi-finalist in the Teacher in
Space program years ago and also got to see the launch of Apollo 17.
Nothing can describe it. I watched every manned spaceflight launch on
TV since the first Mercury flight and remember going out in the back
yard to look for Sputnik in 1957.
Keep 'em flying!

Ed, very cool. Thanks for sharing. Always wish you and the shuttle the
best whenever I know of a launch. Too bad it is taken so much for
granted, growing up with it I remember how it seemed like science
fiction had come alive.
See you at Allentown.

Well I saw the guys selling RGP lanyards and there were well over 20
left so I thought I'd go back later and when I did they had a few left
but at that point I didn't really want one because there were 3 or 4
people waiting to get one and I thought they wanted it more than I
did...they were there till halfway through the second day.

you talking about the Ohio show?

Very cool Ed!
The shuttle doesn't have any pinball parts in it does it?? ;)
Jaz
P.S. I was looking for a lanyard late on the Saturday and RGP but
they were gone. I'll get one sometime down the road.
Lloyd, I was so happy I could hardly count, I just threw the well over
20 thing out there...
Sometimes I can talk out my ass, but apparently that's not a rare
talent as I am not the only on guilty of that on the RGP!
Therefore I won't let it bother me and I hope you'll all forgive my
indescretion.
I stand corrected by the great and powerful LTG :) it looked like more
than that balled up in the guys hand, but I didn't stop to count...
My bad...
Tom
Sorry that I added to the confusion. LTG :)
