weekends sale on Sears.com. Today is the last day of the 15% off sale
on pool and gaming tables. AND Batman is now back in stock and
shipping! Just ordered mine. The 20% BING discount no longer seems to
be coming up when you do the BING search for Panasonic, so they must
have fixed that glitch, and I have to question if that was going to
really happen or not, BUT you do still get an 8% cashback.
Unfortunately there no longer is the shipping rebate either. So my
total came out to $3834.30 shipping to my door plus nearly 10% tax
(damn you WA state), minus the 8% BING cashback. I can live with that.
expected delivery is between Jan. 13-15. I've really enjoyed BDK in
all the times I've played it, and hoping that with the new software
updates it will be on par with SM, TSPP and LOTR. So now that means
my WMS IJ immediately becomes available for sale. Anyone looking for a
nice Indy in the Seattle area let me know. I'm asking $3200, local

original bill of sale. Guess what, still had playfield wear, just like
any other BK. So what! Will be kinda cool to open a brand new, out of
the box pinball machine though. That'll be a first for me, so kind of
excited and I like the fact that in some small way I'm helping to
support the last company producing pinball machines.

Yes it must be a great thing to open that box and set up a brand new
machine. I can only Imagine what it's like as I have yet to be able to
experience it myself.

you're willing to pay for it. As long as the buyer is happy with said
machine (whether HUO or NIB or routed) then that's all that matters!

at 4800 delivered I dont have the urge to purchase it but at 3400
delivered that made me buy the BDK

IMO sears selling pins degrades the product. some of the beauty of
owning a pin is someone asking you "wher'd ya get that?!?!?".... when
i heard the sharper image was selling them, all i could think was that
pinball is going to be in the same class as the massage chair that
everyone sits in, but noone ever really needs or buys...next thing you
know, there will be a pin made by 'craftsman'.

Think about it this way, when was the last time the "regular"
distributors who lurk here ran a sale? I'll answer, never. When have
the regular distributors advertised outside of the known pinball user
base? Never. So, Sears selling pins has done at least two things, made
pins more affordable which puts them in the hands of people who would
have spent that money elsewhere. Secondly, made pins available to non-
pinheads. This is GREAT for Stern and exactly what it needs to stay
alive. Distributors who whine about new outlets like this are only
complaining because the days of self-serving high-margins are
disappearing. Of course there are still great dealers out there who I
do wish well and will continue to supply pins to the core market at
reasonable prices.

Hell I believe you could even buy an entire house from their catalog
in the early days. My parents were
always way, way into Sears. It was sad to me that Kmart bought them
out, because Sears was always
a huge, well respected company when I was a kid. So I guess long
answer is no, I don't think it's
degrading pinball.

I agree 100%. The sales they offer here are definately not sales,
when you get can get them from other distributers for around $1000
less delivered.

The important thing about HUO is that the machine has been
domesticated and knows where to go to the bathroom. You don't want a
BDK that isn't potty trained.
