I'm starting to get serious about buying a Tron, but I'm the type of
collector that doesn't rotate machines in and out of the collection all
that often. I really focus on a variety of play styles and deeper games
that can last long in a collection.

Right now, I've been bit by the Tron bug, and I'd really like to get
one. I'm looking to score a Pro, but I want to know from those that have
had them for a while how they've held up. Do you view it as a long term
keeper? What about durability? Has it held up well from a service
standpoint? I'm not afraid of servicing a machine, but I'd like to avoid
a problem machine if possible.

So yeah, if anybody has a Tron to sell, I'd be interested in hearing
what you want for it as well.

I don't see my pro leaving - I need to get it back together. Took it apart a few months ago to mod the recognizer and haven't worked on it for a while.

It's a keeper for me, and I've experienced no reliability issues. Not
particularly deep with the current software, and the scoop awards are
not terribly exciting, but the game is challenging (Gem shot), fast
and fun. I hope Lyman eventually evolves the software a little more to
cement its status as an 'A' title.

I've had a pro in my living room for a little over a year now. I love
the game. I've only had to do a few things. A few cleanings, and
then stuff like loose screws, a loose plastic and post, 2 LEDs (one
burned out, and one on top of the pop bumpers smashed from a flying
ball.

I still haven't made it to the Portal yet. I'm just not good enough to
get there yet. But I try a lot. A total keeper for me. Highly
recommended.

I'm selling mine. I've owned it for four months and I'm having trouble getting into it.

I can comment on reliability. My Tron Pro is on route and has been
very reliable. Many many more plays than I would expect most games
would see in a lifetime of home use. Have cleaned it weekly and done
regular maintenance. But nothing has needed fixing.

Had it, loved it but started to tire of it ... Sold it. Will buy another
one sometime. There's so many HUOs out there it won't be hard to find
another.

I'm a huge Daft Punk fan but the soundtrack excerpts that David Theil used are too repetitive and aren't varied enough to sustain replay value; think ACDC with only 3 tracks and every ball starts with back in black....it would get old quick. I alsothink thatthe fact that it plays like Fun House Redux doesnt help.

I loved Tron first few hundred plays, but I really have no desire toplay it again even if I haven't beat portal or scored over 200M yet.

Thinking about a Tron as well, Keeper?

Got a Tron LE. Love it. Great game. Eye candy for the game room and
people gravitate towards it quick. My kids love it and turn it on
quicker than
any other pin and I have high end pins.

+1 above. I have funhouse and though similar, not even close to the
redux of Gomez and his mummy, mystery, fish, orb shot :) this game is
butter. The ramps with the sound fx seems like the light cycle zipping
and is so smooth. Good luck good title to ponder.

My Tron LE has held up very well. I needed to install a new driver
board though, self inflicted coil issue caused 2 transistors to pop. Oh
well. Other than that, rock fuckin' solid man.
