Very Nice!!!!!
Nice. This machine is shaping up to be something special.
Larry
Wow, just wow. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.
-Gregg B.
Awesome news. While I find it difficult to remember or even know all
the depth of rules in his games, as long as he can walk the line and
keep it accessible with depth available that's a good thing.
Eagerly awaiting the hardware platform selected too.
-scott CARGPB#29
i can't wait to see what they come up with and the next pins.
and i hope it will be on schedule...
if everything comes out spectacular, new gadgets, lcd display...
watchout stern (and this could be a great thing for stern, shake up
things a little bit.... maybe not)

awesome stuff.
John
This is great news. Gary Stern is seeing first hand that when you
treat people like garbage, they react.
No doubt JJP will build pinball machines with the route operator in
mind even if the armchair pinball company execs here say that the
announced price of Oz is too expensive for route ops. We'll have to
wait and see. I'll bet Drew M. is already getting Dave & Busters
signed up for a dozen if not one for each of their 55 locations.
But what's more is that Roger Sharpe is also on board. I haven't heard that
and that adds a pinball cornerstone/icon to the effort.
This is starting to look like something big, big, BIG!!
:0)

I could not be happier!!
Keith sealed the deal for me. Just put down my deposit.
That's nice Jack but when are we going to see pictures of cabinets on
end and boxes of coils and leg levelers so that we know REAL work is
being done?
:p
It's definitely turning out to be a "dream team", that's for sure! I
hope this game is really successful....Oz isn't for me, but I really
want to see them get to games #2 and #3!
Greg
great to hear this !
As Jake & Elwood said; "We're puttin' the band back together"!
I agree. Wow. Jack is going first class at every move with
personnel. I put down a deposit with a "let's see" attitude. More
news that unfolds, better it gets. Heck, looks like he even took them
to Gibson's in Rosemont for dinner -- another first class move.
Gibson's in Rosemont (attached to the Doubletree) is every bit as good
as the one on Rush Street. Ate at both. Used to do the downtown one
while staying in Rosemont attending CONventions at the Donald E.
Stephens CONvention Center. Would take the El train Blue line transfer
to Red line.

Every new announcement increases my confidence (and expectations) more
and more. So far, this is shaping up to be quite a project--keep it
up Jack!
Tom
Very awesome news. I'm not interested in the theme but must admit this
is really shaping up. I'm hoping this pin will have some sort of
subway, metal ramps would be awesome too. Maybe I'll change my mind
and preorder.
-Brian
Woah... Preorder Brian?... You know that thing is pretty expensive. I
can see the TZ up for sale shortly. ;-)
Well done Jack
What a team you've put together!!
All the right ingredients to create a master piece.
Keep it coming ,keep it coming
Tony
Great news! Need more details on the game.
You definitely have the right team coming together.
I hope this all works out.

This is great news indeed! The last few Stern games when released did
nothing for me as a player. No anticipation like the Williams days.
You were always wondering what they were going to do next. What
innovation would be on the field. I have my deposit in and cant wait
to see what comes out down the road as well!
Cool, I hope he read that thread about all the WoO ideas.

OR am I reading too much into that???

Its a WOF reunion! (theme (meh.) Great rules and design... WOF
rehash?
Drop the targets in WOF get "follow the yellow brick road", then
different munchkin "follow the yellow brick road", finally third in
line target "follow the yellow brick road", and make the ramp to start
the song!
Just kidding of course, but honestly WOF is one of the most unique
games ever made and I am really looking forward to what this team has
in store for us!
Ah, this is great! You said I'd be happy; I'm happy. Keith has the kind of
"above and beyond" dedication to pinball that will make WOZ fantastic.
- Dan
Me too. Keefer rocks!

Not a huge fan of the largely obscured and not-so-flexible WW pf. Also,
not as big a fan of the random-stacking-of-a-zillion-modes for this type
of (movie-based) pin. Personally, I'm hoping for something like a LotR
sequel, in the sense that there's a very flexible pf layout (with
various diverters and connected orbits/lanes/ramps), and different types
of modes that let you 'progress' through the adventure. This general
feel would be awesome for WOZ! Adding video clips on an lcd screen will
be killer.
-Mike
Awesome, looking forward to what this team pulls together! I have a
TSPP and a Scared stiff, so a Norman / KJ combo is great in my book.
Great news Jack!
George
For what it is worth, I emailed Jack about 2 weeks ago specifically
suggesting he hire Keefer. Being as astute as he is, he probably was
already working it :-).
KRB
(LOTR, TSPP, and counting...)
Based on Keith's one posting earlier this month I don't think he was engaged
at that point, but he's been silent since which made me [happily]
suspicious. :-)
I'd definitely like to see something of an orderly "follow the plotline"
ruleset following the major events of the tale, but unlike some other
progressive rule-based pins, that should only be one part of the elements.
- Dan
That's the idea!
haha, actually thinking I don't need the car. I live 2 blocks from
work. : )
