I just picked up a real nice Freddy from another on the group. I'm
having a tough time making shots to the top of the playfield,
especially during multiball (which on a Freddy is most of the time !)

The game was recently completely shopped & the flipper mechs gone
thru. Is there a stronger coil available for the lower flippers ? I
don't have the part number of the current coils as I don't have a
manual for the game, & haven't been under the playfield yet to get the
numbers off the coil itself.
My other later model Gottleib (Wipe out) suffers from weak flippers
as well. Maybe I'm just spoiled by my plastic shattering flippers on
my DE games, & the availability of multiple coil choices on Williams
pins.

No hot flipper coils out there for later Premier Gottleib pins ?

Freddy comes with mainly A-25959 coils (red - 3.85 / 202 ohms), which
are standard for most Sys3s. The upper right flipper is an A-26646
( blue 4.57 / 201 ohms), which had a little higher resistance on the
power winding. The only hotter coil GTB offered for a Sys3 was the
A-29876 (orange - 2.36 / 202 ohms).

Hope this helps!

Not sure if this is it, but on most System 3 games, there is a little board
with a Filter Cap on it (Big round black one) mounted somewhere on the
underside of the playfield. This provides filtered DC to all the coils. I
had a game once with weak coils and it ended up being a cold solder to the
connector on this board. - Something to check.....

THANK YOU !

I'll order a couple of the A-29876 coils when I place an order for the
manual. I appreciate the information.
