Every time I turn around, it's another new f#uckass reality show!! I
think it's reaching epidemic proportions now (or I need to stop
turning around)

Sorry, they are here to stay.

They get ratings and are dirt cheap to produce. Even if one flops,
it's not like it cost them anything so they'll just crank out another
one.

Any you think they're real why?

put a hammer in your TV, it solves a bunch of things.

I assume it is a joke. Operation Repo is the most fake of them all.
it is a soap opera.

Cheap is right. There's no real high dollar actors to pay and like
someone said, if it flops they just come out with something new. Its
a fad just like all those stupid game shows that were on like 10 years
ago, Who wants to be a millionaire...? Please !!
I love some of the reality shows and thats pretty much all I'd watch,
but only a certain few ones. Still much better then all the stupid
cop shows put together......which is another fad, hopefully anyways.

I wouldn't know as I probably watch 30 min of TV a week. If i'm
lucky. 90% of the stuff on TV makes you feel dumber for watching it.

Well, at the rate things are going, that 30 min. of TV a week that
you're watching...... will be a reality show.

If you can't find non-reality based shows on cable you aren't
looking.

Real People and That's Incredible are no longer around so these won't
be around forever. It just seems that way.

They are always repoing a car from a guy in a chicken suit, or a naked
chick, or a dude with a gun and of course nobody gets shot - they'll
figure out a way to fake that too though I'm sure.

I think they are here to stay since the number of cable and sat and
internet channels will only get larger and larger, not like the That's
Incredible days when there were only channels 2 thru 13. The good
thing is even cable and sat remotes include a channel changer button.
Don't watch the shows.

I hate it when they do these stupid reality spinoffs. Pawn Stars has
a guy that restores crap for em, so of course he gets his own show
now, oh brother. Next they'll give a spinoff to the barber who cuts
the restorer guy's hair. Then after that a show about the barber's
goofy cross-dressing brother-in-law who is a meter maid.

What's funny to me is all these discussions about how fake they are.
"This one is so fake", "that one is pretty real but not totally real".

These are the exact debates people had about pro wrestling back in the
80s.

Ooooooh, cable. Yes, I think I heard a blurb about that one time.
Can't remember who mentioned it.... is that available to people now???

As far as I'm concerned, Operation Repo... is about as real as pro
wrestling.

These all started when the writers went on Strike in Hollywood. It's
an easy way to get around the screen writers guild, you just film a
'reality' show, even if it is completely faked you don't need to pay
an actual 'writer' for it.
