Tech: WPC-89 Sound Issue

The sound on my GI has hum, static, hiss, etc. during both music and
speech. The sound board is original and I figure it needs to be
reworked. What components do I need to swap out to correct the
issue. Thanks for the help.

All the mounting screws on there to mount the board, and are they
tight? Then I'd move on to connections, checking for any bad wires and
such. Particularly the ones leading to the speaker panel. I've found
these to be the biggest issues with poor sound quality.

Also, make sure the sound board is screwed down tightly, ensuring good
grounding.
Next turn to the two large filter caps that are near the amp.
Then make sure connections at the headers are solid.
