IS A GOOD COIL READING Vs. FRIED IF IT ISNT OBVIOUS ON COIL.ANY BINGO

Look for coils showing evidence of extreme heating. Check the score index
coil. Read about troubleshooting at http://bingo.cdyn.com/

1) 1st do you have a schematic, volt meter, and a soldering iron?
2) The 50 volt circuit is the main circuit for most of the motors,
coils, and circuitry and several thing could be worng with it.
3) it helps to do some good isolation and inspection. More then like
one of the coils or motors are bad. a though visual inspection can be
you greatest tool.
4) Open up the backbox and coin doors and look around with a strong
flash light. Look at all of the large coil and motors for burn marks -
darkened bodies - bad smelling - looking like tar or some other dark
and thick liquid oozed from them.
5) Pull the fuse that blows and measure the 50 volts and see if it is
present. If you do not know where to pick up the ground reference let
me know?
If it looks good then turn it off and add a new fuse. Then discoonect
all of the connectors at the bottom of the back box that connect it to
the playing field and lower box. Turn it on and see if the fuse blows.
If it does not, then you know the problem exists in the lower cabinet.
6) Do all of these and then get back to me - it will help focus our
efforts.

wire on the yellow score unit step up arm switch to the side of the
coil with the white and brown wire (not the orange and red side). As
long as the play feature relay is not energized, this should activate
the coil.
Do you have a copy of the schematic for that machine? Which switch
prevents the fuse from blowing? There are two switches on that
relay.If opening the single pole double throw switches solves the
problem, you probably have a short in the white and brown wire coming
from the relay to the yellow score step up coil. If it's the normally
closed single switch, check the white and blue wire. This runs from
the yellow score stop and the magic screen feature unit stop to the
magic screen feature unit step up. The main thing to look for is
bare/worn wire. Also, I hope your wire is not totally gray and cruddy
and that you can at least sort of tell what the original colors were.
