What is your opinion? False advertising or legitimate method of
getting people to click on your post?
What if Sears advertised new Stern machines for $1 and when you
arrived at the mall, you discovered they were really $4299? How long
before the entire Sears store was burned down to the ground?
Most advertising is misleading and false. That's the nature of the
advertising business. It always has and always will be about
misrepresentation.
But yea, I think it sucks. You should reply to the guy and get ready
to make arrangements, then at the last minute ask him if he'd prefer a
$1 bill or four quarters.
They should put the lowest price item's price in, not $1.
Hello All,
I respectfully disagree with Rock. Listing the price at $1 is a ploy to
get you to read his/her ad. What is worse, the body of ad does not give the
"real" prices. If someone is selling multiple items at different prices,
they should list what the different prices are. Not list them all under the
same heading for $1. I suspect the sellers goal is to cast a wide net and
then try to negotiate the final price. This is not how I would do it, but
to each there own. Really it is none of my business anyway.
I was just saying...

PS: If I was to respond to this ad (and I'm not) I would offer to buy the
lot, but only if he discounted the games to 90 cents each (I never offer
full price for CL items).
