Does anyone have an archived copy of the Gottlieb repair manual that
used to be online? I need to diagnose a locked on coil (I believe) on
a Genie machine this weekend.

Thanks in advance.

I was actually looking for a copy of the old www.pinrepair.com
manuals, are they still available somewhere.

Yes, I understood that. I thought you actually wanted the info to fix
the issue.

Not sure exactly why Jim, Chris, Richard, me, and the other people
worked so hard to make the needed info available in the meantime on
pinwiki. It certainly would have been easier to just keep putting the
pinrepair stuff up.

Here's the link: http://pinrepair.com/em/index1.htm

Don't forget to read the text highlighted in yellow at the top of the

As a heavy user of Clays repair guides, I now have to recommend the new
Pinwiki site at least for Gottlieb system1. I was recently (at Expo) and
was told by 2 people to check it out(system 1) as it was surpassing
Pinrepair. To my surprise it is very well done, and very informative. I
have not had a chance to check out the other pinwiki guides, but if they
are progressing as the System1 I may be a convert.

I should add that a huge majority of the System 1 section of the
PinWiki was authored by Jim Palson, posts here as Gott Lieb?

Ya, Aaron. I enjoy the Pinwiki site and was shocked to meet the person
who created the site was young. I thought the gentleman with him was the
creator. Two thumbs up for PW. I'm sure the XL shirt is on it's
way....... right? LOL

So sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone. I've actually been out of the
loop for a while and just remember those guides from years ago when I
was active in the hobby. I got a call from a friend of a friend who
said a local repair place quoted him $1000 for what seems to me like a
fairly straight forward repair. I'm gonna donate my time to help him
out and I don't even know him. I'll gladly check out the pinwiki
website as that appears to be the go to source now. Thanks to you guys
for all you do for this hobby. I for one am forever grateful for the
help and advice. Once again I'm sorry for offending anyone it's just
been a few years since I've been in any of my games fixing things.
(and for the record I hate the old Gottliebs, I had a black hole once,
arghhhh)

$1000 for a repair? Run from that place. You can get a pascal x4 board
for 1/3 that and be ahead of the game.

Hell, you could buy one of each type of system 1 replacement board on
the market and still have $$$ left from $1k.

Yeah, that's why I volunteered my time to someone I don't even know. I
hate to see people ripped off.
