I am super psyched for Allentown this year, and I know Ivan will have a
great show.
So, what games are you bringing to Allentown and are they for sale or free
play?
Thanks in advance!

If we get a big box truck like last couple years I plan on bringing
several games for free play, not for sale area. Some stuff that's not
been out to the general show; lots of 6 to 7 digit conversions.

Excellent! Thanks Scott.

btw the spreadsheet has something like 11 games for sale and a bunch of WTD
games. Nothing about games people are brining for the show.
is there another spreadsheet?

Google it. Opinions were split about a spreadsheet helping or hurting the
show. Overall there were enough games sold in advance from previous shows
that it did hurt the list of games making appearances at the show. Not just
Allentown but White Rose also. After the mega-post the spreadsheet was
spammed and ultimately recreated. Then in an effort to placate both groups
of opinions any reference to a show was removed from the spreadsheet by it's
creator. It was supposed to be used as an East Coast buy/sell/trade list
but it pretty much died after removing the references.

At this point, barring anything changing my schedule, I plan on having
the following there in the Free PLay area:

Taxi
Black Knight 2000
Lord of the Rings

There have been some developments today that may make me miss the show,
but I am hoping to have these machiens there.

As of this morning, there are 52 games registered for the freeplay
area. There is always a flurry during the last month before the show,
so this is a good sign. I won't list the games at this time, because
if folks get psyched to come play a certain game, and the owner
decides not to bring it or changes his entries, folks may get upset
that they paid but advertised games were not there. Trust me, guys
and gals, we have no control over who brings what. Most folks bring
what they registered, but there can be many changes prior to the show
opening. I will say that there currently is a terrific mix of games
from every pinball era, including some A titles and some excellent
electromechanical titles. If you have not yet registered, please
consider sending your form through the website as soon as possible.

Crap, didn’t see that coming. I thought it would be harmless? Another

Ivan, why can't the guy from NYC bring his girlfriend? I don't see any
issue :)

I don't think one smart ass comment will derail the thread. (now two
smart ass comments)

I make ONE killer joke - on a newsgroup that badly needs them - and
you guys make a dozen posts humorlessly moaning about it.

And *I'm* the thread derailer?

SO I have gotten (seriously) no less than 15 e-mails about what I am
bringing to the show.

I am bringing them for people to enjoy. I do NOT plan on selling them.
As has happened previously, I will get tired of people asking, and just
slap rediculious prices on them. Then the complaints will come in that
stuff is too expensive :)

Guess when something says NOT FOR SALE that does not really mean not for
sale?

Although, I guess everyone has a price!

See you at the show!

I figure the best thing to do is put a price on the game, but cross it
out and write "SOLD" instead. That way people stop asking.

I bought a couple games from people that were labeled "Not For Sale".
So you are absolutely correct, people just ignore the sign and ask
anyways cause you never know. I like Scott's suggestion, just put a
SOLD sign on it instead.

The best "not for sale" was from York 2011. Was something like this:

NOT FOR SALE - unless you want to pay a ridiculous amout of money, say
"insert $2K above market price here", then we'll talk. Otherwise
don't bother asking.

His Skateball is awesome and crazy fast. You’re going to enjoy it.

So there is no confusion, Sk8boss (Chris) is part of the staff. His,
Scotts or mine are not registered for freeplay. Harry registered his I
guess out of habit. They will be in freeplay, just not part of the
growing list that’s 60+ and counting. For March that’s great! The
staff combined account for about 40. There are plans for many more.

Many thanks to all that are stepping up. This could very well be the
biggest turnout yet. Please register early if possible; it helps us
manage the floor space efficiently and strategically. We are
attempting to manage the noise level as well. That takes advanced
planning.
