Lost a friend of mine this weekend, her name was Earthshaker. First
and hopefully only time I had to put a game down. Pulling her apart
really made me appreciate the craftsmanship that when into making
these games (and whoever’s idea it was to staple lamp sockets directly
into the bottom of the playfield should be fined.) Luckily some of
her innards were given away and transplanted into other games to save
them including the cabinet. All I have left is the playfield (which I
am keeping) and the following parts:

I picked up some of these parts. The prices were great, shipping was
fast, and everything was as described.

Thanks!

May I ask what was the cause of it's untimely demise? I would think
it could be fixed with some help from RGPers...

Sorry for your loss,

Parts missing when I got it:
No driver board ($$ and could get)
No ramps at all ($$$ and could get)
No speaker panel or displays ($$ and could get)
No backglass ($$$ - good luck finding one)
Needed head decals ($)
Some missing plastics ($$)
Playfield needed touchup (no cost just my time)
Trust me I really, really, really didn't want to do it but besides not
having the space and the estimated costs involved I decided to put her
down. Seriously though, as soon I spent the hours in the garage
breaking her down I looked at all the parts and thought what have I
done, maybe I could still save her.
Also she was 1 of 5 pretty serious projects and I was able to get the
other 4 off to good homes where I hear they are being brought back to
health.

I have to backup JJ here and say that it really looked beyond the
point of no return from the limited view I saw of it. It would have
been a huge challenge and very costly.

I'm finally about to start work on the Cyclone and Jurassic I got from
you after gathering parts for a little bit. Thanks again for them!

I feel your pain JJ, I had to put an ES out of it's misery a year back
and still kinda wish there was another way, but hopefully the parts
from it will go to saving other games from such a fate. It's just
impossible to justify putting a grand in parts into a $600 game that
when it was done might sell for $900 if I was lucky. I'd hoped to save
it, as it did play, but after new displays, plastics, ramps, board
work and the icing on the cake, a backglass (just to get it decent and
playable, not even really nice!) it just didn't happen.=(

Sorry for your loss. But she's going to a better place. Actually, part
of her just arrived at my place. Thanks for offering these parts -
essentially giving them away. I've been searching for this bracket for
over a year.
