PinBALLS OF STEEL

I have a Trizone and can't figure out why some of the feature lamps
are not working. I am assuming they are all connected in some way.
Can someone guide me in the right direction? THe ones not working
are "same player shoots again", Both "Special" lanes, Also '5
thousand, 10 thousand, extra ball, and special on the playfield.
Thanks.

You have a blown driver or pre-driver (replace them both) transistors
on the driver board. All of those lights can be found in the lamp
matrix chart for the game - looks like column 4... that corresponds to
a particular transistor but -

Sorry I don't have the schematics to tell you the exact part to
replace but you'll probably need a 2n5060 & 2n6122. Hopefully no
logic chips are involved.... Good Luck with the repair =)

Column 4 is a yellow/black wire, comes from connector 2J5 pin7 at the bottom
of the driver board. Driver transistor is Q69 (TIP42), Pre driver is Q68
(2N6427). These are on the left and right of the row of 27ohm 2w resistors
that overheat and look crispy. R152 is one of them and is in the column 4
circuit. Test/resolder all those resistors, they cook themselves loose. All
8 of these resistors should be replaced with 5w types. Hope this helps. Let
us know what you find.

I'm assuming no broken wires (opens in the circuit) or connector
issues !!
