Well it's on it's way! Inspired by all the get-togethers we hear
about on RGP, Splitskull and I met John D. at his place for our first
meeting! Before I go any further, I want to thank John and his lovely
family for welcoming us all. We had a blast! I couldn't get enough of
playing his G3taway! His TZ is also quite awesome! I guess I'll have
to move my ass to make my pins playable!!!
In between the hours of playing, we talked about shop tips, places
to go for parts, computer stuff (thanks for the DVD drive, John!), and
details on how to get this going. We learned a lot since we combined
our knowledge and methods. Both John and Splitskull are computer techs
and I'm an ex-mechanic, we all have different perspectives of the
hobby. I intend to try to create a website for the group soon,
although I've never tried anything like it... we'll see how it goes!
We also want to extend the group by making it an arcade and
amusement group, including pins and vids, even vending machines and
jukes... why not? We intend to get together regularly. So if you live
in the Montreal area or not (...don't matter...), membership is wide
open, whether you have 1 beat-up machine or 50 collector quality pins
and vids! Even if you can't attend all the meetings, post or Email me
if you are interested. If you also have a name for our group, please
post a suggestion... even the funny ones!!!
Thanks to all who have inspired us to help keep the passion for
pinball going! Hope to hear from you soon!
