Also what is the 25 micro-farad capicator used for in this circut?
Yes, the game adjustment switch just controls the lane marked
"special".
Does the knocker sound when replays are rewarded?
Since the match unit is working, the only unique part of the circuit
is the lane rollover switch. Clean and adjust that switch.
You also said high-score replay wasn't working. Except for the actual
score reel contacts most of that circuit path is the same as the match
unit. Have you tried high score on all four players, that will help
narrow it down.
As for the capacitor... can you tell me the name of the relay make/
break switch to the right of the KNOCKER coil at 8E? It looks like
the capacitor would help discharge the coil fast so it could handle
firing multiple times in a row. It looks like the knocker gets
switched out and only fires once, but I can't quite make out that
switch on my version of the schematics.

The coil is W which is the 2nd chute relay that has the make / break
switch. The knocker does sound when replays are rewarded by the match
unit.
Are the replay scores set properly in the backbox? I've seen this alot
when the pins were in different scoring config than the score card
states...

The rollover switch was ok but I traced the problem to the connector
in the head. The pins weren't making a solid connection because of
some corrosion. Also found that high score bonus was being awarded for
player 2. The problem is with player one. The scematic shows a four
position player unit that would pulse the replay for a high score. Is
this part of the stepper disc in the head ?
