CC mine entry - does it always block the ball when the sign is down ?

Can CC owners please let me know how it works on their machine:
Is the mine entry really blocking all shots in the mine when the mine entry sign is down ?

I guess it's supposed to be that way as there are 2 switches - one in front of the mine to detect balls that hit the lowered entry, and one switch when a pinball has entered.

But on my machine even with the mine entry sign down, pinballs on the right side (under the word 'OUT') can just pass underneath and still enter the mine. Only pinballs that are on the left half are stopped (as there the 45 degrees angled part is lower).
Is this a problem on my machine or do other CC owners also see this ?

Hm....
On my CC, weather the sign is up or down, you can always enter the mine.

same here....weather the sign is up or down, you can enter the mine.
It's just harder when the sign is down but still achievable

The sign position makes no difference on mine, the ball can always enter the mine. I've always kind of wondered what the point of the moving part was if it didn't actually interact with the play.

On the CC's I've played it is harder to enter the mine with the sign
down, but still possible. From what you describe, your machine is
working properly.

OK thanks everyone.. will investigate if there's a fix to lower the mine sign so it does stop the pinball all the time, maybe add some washers underneath the playfield ?
There's a switch before the mine to detect stopped pinballs so the game should detect stopped pinballs.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm developing with FreeWPC and making new rules for CC. I wondered if I should add/detect 'dirty pool'.. but if no CCs completely stop the ball correctly there's no point on doing so.
