Spider-Man Webbed Side Armor Update

We have moved to a new physical location and we are getting back to
the business of producing high quality additions for your pinball
machines. We have also discovered a hoard of new collectables since
packing our stuff to move. We have lots of memorabilia from my games
as well as items from other designer’s games.
We have received a lot of inquiries about our Spider-Man Custom Webbed
Side Armor. Our first issue is sold out, and we are ordering a new
series of sets.
We are taking pre-orders for both Chrome and Black Wrinkle Finish sets
of Spider-Man Side Armor. I will order a limited number of Black
Wrinkle Finish and just a few Chrome sets. We expect that the parts
will be shipping to you in mid-August 2010.

Both Chrome and Black Wrinkle Finish styles will be shipped with #8
polished stainless steel Reversible Backing Plates that are super
shiny polished metal on one side and glossy red on the reverse. They
are included in the price of the side armor set. The backing plates
are installed between the side armor and the cabinet, and do not
require any adhesive that would otherwise mar the cabinet of your SM
or BSM.
Fitment is perfect, and uses only the screws that are used on the
stock Stern cabinet.
My side armor is custom made and looks far better than the stock
“lollipop-on-a-stick” design I was obligated to create for Spider-Man
while at Stern. Stern insisted that I stay within the outside
perimeter of the stock “un-webbed” side armor part. The curves and
lines on my latest version are graceful and really add a lot to the
look of your SM or BSM machine, and the laser-cut webbing runs from
the flipper buttons all the way back to the backbox.
Every part, treatment, and the entire fabrication process of my Side
Armor is applied and manufactured in the USA! I don’t know about you,
but I look for American made products wherever possible, and the
quality of my side armor is definitely superior. Even our packaging
is American made.
The SRP Black Wrinkle Finish Webbed Side Armor matches the rest of the
black powder coated metal parts on your red SM perfectly because the
exact same powder color specs and brand are identical to the stock
Stern color and texture.
Chrome is the ultimate look for your Red SM or BSM. The Chrome Side
Armor is highly polished before plating. Red Spider-Man pinball
machines look spectacular with all chrome metal parts; sets of chromed
legs, backbox hinges, and lockdown bar can be purchased at Pinball
Life to complete the look.
If you have a Limited Edition Black Spider-Man, you have to see to
believe the difference between the stock chrome side armor and my
newer design! The Backing Plates have an especially beautiful look
mounted on the cabinet whether the polished or glossy red side is
installed.
Both styles of Spider-Man Side Armor can be run 3 ways:
• The side armor can be mounted without the backing plates for a
conservative look. The parts look great mounted and the effect is
subtle, yet attractive.
• The side armor can be mounted with the glossy red surface showing,
and the bright red color peeks out through every laser cut! It is a
HOT look and really pops against the black of the side armor and the
cabinet.
• The side armor can be mounted with the shiny polished side up for a
great high-contrast classy look. The polished stainless steel peeking
through the laser-cut areas matches the SPIDER-MAN lettering on the
cabinet side beautifully. (Remember to peel off the protective plastic
coating from the Backing Plates before installing the polished side).
The parts are packed in a sturdy carton loaded with bubble wrap the
parts are shipped in heavy gauge plastic bags that protect the parts
from scratches and shipping damage. We have not had a single shipping
damage problem or any other complaint from our customers.

Thanks for the endorsement. I think everyone has been happy with the
SM side armor, and that makes me feel good.
I'm trying to get a new item off the ground here, but won't be able to

I have a chrome set. They are gorgeous......in their box. I am having
a hard time working a deal to trade my FG for a SM. But they do look
fantastic.

Steve, maybe there's a future for you doing high-end custom parts like
these for pinball games? Hope so.
I'd love to own a Spider-Man myself and these would certainly be the
webbing on the cake.
