Im helping a friend that just got an pinball from italy . The cpu was 5.01 and he wanted it to be in english (lives in sweden).

I programmed Cpu with lotrcpua.a00 and dispaly with lotrdspa.a00 on somold roms a got from my williams games.

When he turns the game on turned the game on, and all bulbs start blinking, totallly odd.
P
ut the old one in again, and it works, what did go wrong, any ideas?
The game works with his old 5.01 cpu and 10.0 Displayrom.

I have programmed 2 different roms and it is the same.
Someone that know what im doing wrong?

Try programming the same version he has onto your eproms and see if they
work. You sure you have the correct size eprom needed and that's it's
completely blank before programming?

First time promaming roms. I asked him what the display rom was for kind and it was the same that i had at home (old roms from williams). I have had them under UV 1 hour. Must i test the roms in programing program before i program them? I just put them in the programator an pressed program when it said program sucessful i was thinkig that it must be ok

You don't need the ROMs under UV for an hour. Usually 5-10 minutes is
fine.

Blank check the ROMs if you can. Program, then verify if your
programmer supports it.

The CPU ROM and the Display ROM are different parts.

CPU ROM needs to be 27c010 or 27c1001
Display ROM needs to be 27c040 or 27c4001.

So, if you didn't use the right chip, it won't work right in the game.

You need to play with the UV time - you can prematurely wear out the
eprom if you leave it too long. John Wart Jr covered the correct chips
to have you can double check.

The CPU ROM and the Display ROM are different parts.

CPU ROM needs to be 27c010 or 27c1001

Display ROM needs to be 27c040 or 27c4001.
So, if you didn't use the right chip, it won't work right in the game.

Thats explains it then becouse all the roms was 27c040
