Ya...good luck with that quest.
I think Andromeda is a fun game. Weird art...but I like it!

Thanks Chris. Yeah, it is wierd art but nice art...pretty much what
attacted me to it. I have never played an Andromeda, can't even fiind
a good clip on "youtube" but looks to be a fun game. My playfield is
ok but the inserts are worn (popped up a bit out of the playfield and
had the corners worn off) and the paint is crazed a bit...not as
bright as it could be. I may have it sent off for better TLC or
restoration than I can offer if I can't find a decent replacement. I
appreciate your input...
The game`s artist, Paul Faris was at that show and I got a picture of
him and I next to the game as well as his autograph on the backglass
and drop target plastic. The 8 x 10 pic made a great topper.
Good luck on your search. If you happen to be in San Antonio, let me
know.

I agree with Jason...it's a fun game. I played Jason's at the TPF and
it was very fast. Lyon's Classic Pinball also has one that plays fast
too but not quite as fast as Jason's.
I would love to add an Andromeda to my collection.

Thanks guys...I am very much looking forward to getting this machine
up and running. Can I ask, of the ones you have seen, what is the
general condition? If I had to rate the condition of mine I would give
it about 6-7. I am rather picky...tend to nickle and dime things. I
have a few minor PF plastic issues...small cracks. The PF insert
condition I described above and one small PF wear area near the upper
left corner...can only be seen when the plastics are removed. The
cabinet is fairly nice with only some slight bumps and scrapes. The
backglass in near perfect condition with only two pinhead sized fleks
that allow light through. The boards are another question...I bought
this machine in non-working condition knowiing it had issues. When I
got it home and took a more in depth look at it I found a rather funky
looking fuse on the power board...when I removed it I saw a 1/2 inch
hole burned through the board. Part of the plan is to have all the
boards looked at...not anything I am confident it doing myself.
Anyway...thanks again for your input.
I'm selling a nice working Andromeda if anybody is interested.
It's located just north of Boston. $1250

That looks to be very nice!! Hmmm, what would I do with two?
Hi
Just finish mine, I replaced the MPU with one made by Jim at echolake
pinball, and everything is running fine now (there is no flash on the
MPU when I bought it). Made a couple touch insert with local
clearcoat, a touch up in the backglass but only in the black. Very fun
game an pretty unique, I love the look and going to be awesome side by
side with my centaur. there some pics at this adresse:

I can't really comment on "average" condition as the two that I've
seen were very nice, restored games. You'll be happy with it. I've
gotten a LOT less particular about the condition of games that I love
playing...case in point...my new Star Gazer. The PF is a bit of a mess
but the game is so much fun to play that it doesn't really matter.
And, I sold a "players" Fast Draw to a nice fellow the other day (for
what I had in it...very cheap) who didn't really care about the
condition. For him, it was the game he played a lot "back in the day"
and he loved playing it. Later he told me that it had once again
become his favorite game even in the condition that it was in. I sold
it very cheap...didn't care about making money on it...just wanted to
pass it along to someone who would show it some love.
