I would like to publicly thank Ed for his suggestions on the
alternative to staples on pop bumber restoration... I debated for
about a week an searched for alternatives to the compressor/long nose
staple gun method including trying to stamp in the old staples etc...

Eds suggestion on his web site was a simple solution, clean and i can
see how much easier to work with later should i ever have to rebuild
them again... worked like a charm!

Heres one photo and there are more in the album below... thanks Ed!

Oh yeah, well done. Just reach in with a nutdriver in the future, and
the popbumper light will come right out 8-).

Thank you.

I have used that technique a number of times too. Sometimes you just
have too. I use a cotter pin removal tool and pull the stable out of
1 of the holes and then when I go back to put it together I just press
the stable back into the original hole. Looks just like it did before
I took it apart. Sometimes you just cannot do that because the staple
breaks on removal.
