It really looks good to me, but reviews are so-so. I fear it can't
decide if it's comedy or action, and instead of a mix, it will be
funny for 45 minutes then totally serious for 45 minutes. Anybody?

'ok' movie, its both funny and serious. Think of an asshole, drunk
superman, and you got hancock.

I saw it the other day, it was decent, nothing I would recommend to
anyone.. seemed to be holes in the stories.. film kept jumping
directions.

Was not to bad. Worth seeing, funny and action.
Better than Wanted.

I saw the movie. It was better than I expected.

Most of the best scenes in the movie are already given away by the
preview, but it's nice to see them in context.

What would you do with immortality, invulnerability, flight, super
speed, AND super strength? Would you get bored after all the years,
and become an "asshole" like Hancock, just because you can? Would you
become seriously bored of existence, as with these powers you would
have no challenges in life at all? And, if you were the only person
in the world with these powers, would you become lonely?

Also, there's a big twist halfway through the film, which I won't
spoil, that makes it a lot more interesting near the end.

Ignore the reviews. Not the greatest Will Smith movie of all time, but
better than the reviews. Once won't hurt you, and you may enjoy it. LTG :)

I ***LOVE*** the premise, so I now consider it a must-see!

Wife and I saw this and both liked it. After the so, so reviews I was
hoping the negative ones were wrong and I think they were.

I thought the premise was cool also. I just saw it today. The funny
parts were really funny. You had to LOVE the sanford and son theme
song scene ;-) I thought the serious part was out of place. I also
thought how they handled the twist was slightly weird. All-in-all an
entertaining movie.

Before the movie I played a LOTR that had to have about 20k plays at
least. The flippers needed to be rebuilt. I was amazed that nothing
else was broken. No playfield wear. Replay was 10k and I couldnt get
it :p The machine was tilted 6 degrees to the right :p

How powerful is your ex that you need super human powers to egg a house ? At
least fly up and take a dump on the roof. LTG :)

I don't know... and that's what I'm afraid of. She just might be
powerful enough to make me eat whatever I put on her house... so I'd
stick with eggs.

Besides, Lloyd, when I was a kid I read just about every Superman
comic ever printed. I can't recall even one instance where Superman
took a dump on somebody's roof. Little Lotta, maybe, but not
Superman. ;-)

Well there goes your super human character, Rick Swanson, the poop fairy.
What a great pin that would have made. Bigger then any bat critter. LTG :)
( I'm sure on a long flight Superman always landed for nature's call )

Anybody besides me get the image in their head of a fat little kid with Far
Side characteristics, named Rick Swanson, shouting to his friends " Look, up
in the sky. It's a bird, it's a plane, it's........GULP".

I actually enjoyed the movie quite a bit. I'm not a big fan of
superhero movies or comic books but the general premise of this movie
was interesting to me. It didn't disappoint.

Although the storyline is a little hodgepodge, it is entertaining
throughout and makes for an enjoyable 90 minutes.

Saw it as the 3rd movie we watched while away this weekend. We had low
expecations but landed up enjoying it a lot. I usually don't like movies
that seem to change theme halfway but this really worked for me. Not a
"greatest of all time" but an enjoyable ride.

Went and saw "Don't mess with the Zohan" this past weekend.
Wow! What an INCREDIBLE waste of time. I normally like any movie as long as
it isn't a chick flick. But this movie was absolute crap! Luckily it was
free... or I would have asked for my money back on this one.
Hope to see Hancock this weekend.

Nope, and not going to see it or any other Will Smith movie as long as
he keeps giving money to Scientology.

Come on Abby you really want to go down that road?

Didn't you see the "abortion restaurant" Seinfeld?

Besides, what has Scientology ever done to you? I'm all for a good
scam as long as there are people stupid enough to fall for it, and
without Scientology we wouldn't have that masterpiece "Joe's Garage"
by Frank Zappa (at last a chunk of it).

My wife really wanted to see this, and we were at an independent movie
theater in Milwaukee (the Times, which by the way has a Monster Bash!)
for another movie, and they told us all that if we wanted to stay and
watch Hancock after the first film, it was on the house. We were
extremely happy to do just that.

I thought that it was very well done, and unlike most movies I've
seen, it actually completely surprised me at a couple points. It
isn't the greatest movie ever made of course, but for a summer time
popcorn muncher, it's pretty good.

It's a lot worse than just a stupid scam to take idiots money. The
Church ruins lives and tears families apart. People have died. I know
a few survivors, and their stories will make you cry.

If you really want to know more I suggest you look at http://exscientologykids.com/
and http://xenu.net/

It's not a harmless goofball religion, it is a dangerous cult.
