When did you buy the playfield?

His IP comes back as being in CA

If you search his username on RGP there is nothing found

If you search his email on Google nothing is found

His Paypal account is 6 days old.

When he replies to your emails it takes a long time for him to
respond. Probably sorting out the other scams he has going on.

I asked for his contact number and he won't answer.

I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look good at all!

That would suck. I sent an email this morning with no reply, and I
called the phone number listed, and a recording said this person has
not set up a message. I sent a M.O. because I am dumb.

the best scam is one where the people that are being scammed don't
realize it until it's to late; i hope it's not a scam, money is hard
enough to make just to have someone steal it

would be a pity to scam people on such a great forum..

You can still buy from people on RGP, just be a little more cautious
next time when they only have 2 posts and you never heard of them
before.

a complete nut job to boot. Hope you guys used a credit card via

You're right. The internet is a great tool for searching for
information on a seller to find out if he's legitimate.

Wow.

To add even more strangeness to this, I went down and met this guy. Picked
up the head and pinball dolly from him. He seemed very legit to me. He had
everything he said he did, and in the condition he described. I inspected
the playfield and would have taken it if I was prepared for it and could
have gotten it in my car.

Well it looks like he hasn't oversold anything. Ron got the playfield,
rollerball got the topper and I got the head and dolly. Doesn't seem like a
scam to me at all. If others were popping up saying they bought the same
thing, that'd be different.

Why do you think this is the same guy aside from both being in Arkansas and
having Ray in their name?

I think this guy is perfectly legit. His communication sucks bad, but that
certainly doesn't make him a scammer.

Lookup that address. It comes up with Mark Copeland and if you dig a
little deeper his whole name is Mark Ray Copeland. Who knows Rob maybe
theres two Mark Ray Copeland's in AR. Hey I'm glad it worked out for

Hold on there, I paid with a usps mo for the pf, but I haven't heard
from the guy. He willl not return any of my atempts to communicate.
Phone or email. Tried to cancel the mo on sat, but they closed before
I could get there. Went today, but the po is closed. I will see if
they can do anything, but I seriously doubt it.

A customer had just told me he needed one restored, and I didn't check
the guy out. Learned a very expensive lesson. Again.

Well I hope the topper is on the way then....
I paid for it with paypal and have got zero replies to my like 7 or so
emails asking him to just get intouch...
If he is going to sell stuff online the least he can do is reply to
emails...???
If he is crap at replying and I get the topper then all good...
But Ive started action on paypal just incase I dont get the goods...
all he needs to do is email me and I will be happy to undo the paypal
action against him...
I am trying to be fair about it all....Just hate it...all I wanted was
1 email after I made payment to say all was sweet and it was on its
way to sunny Australia..

I got scammed by Copeland awhile back. He WOULDNT take paypal (for
obvious reasons). DIfferent address, but everything else sounds the
same. If Rob has seen this guy, that's confusing. I sen the sheriff to
the address he gave me- it was a home for sale- he must have slid by
and picked up the mail. The MO was made out to a different name.
He took some others as well. His history goes back more than 5 years.

I put a warning up on RGP to seriously check out buying any pf's or
parts from Arkansas (with apologies to the legit Arkansasians).

TIme will tell, but I'm betting Kruzman is toast.

Still though, Rob went down there and got his.

He went by Josh Miller.
His email was: Subway....@gmail.com
I actually paypal'd him and he refunded that one for some lame reason
and wanted a MO. He was VERY, VERY pinball savvy.
The address he used was:
Mark Copeland
3420 Andrew Dr
Bryant Ar 72022

Lost $325 for a "NOS EBD backglass"

Seriously Rob A- please let me know what address you went by to see
him at. I'd like to send the authorities. He stole from 3 people last
November- and they lost a lot more than I did.
Do a detailed search- and you'll find this scammer goes WAY back.
Anthony was seriously lucky. Others, too, have told me they have
traded with him successfully IN PERSON.
I have no idea how or why he does this.

He has, on several occassions, played us back and forth by first
telling you that "he thinks its sold" but I'll get back to you,
The guy is seriously UNlegit, regardless of successful dealings.

I've sent you an email Marc, I'm more than willing to help out in any way I
can. Again though, aside from being in Arkansas and being a pinhead, I
don't see why everyone thinks this is the same guy.

One of the main things that's standing out for me, is from what I can tell,
he's only taken payment from one person for each of the items he was
selling. If this is a scam, why wouldn't he be grabbing money from anyone
who will send it? I know he's gotten many offers to purchase this stuff if
he'd only ship it, but he wanted to avoid the pain of shipping such large
stuff.

Again, I'm happy to help out in any way I can.

I have a Populated Fish Tales Playfield thats needs to be shopped
but
is in nice shape. It doesnt have any broken plastics and there isnt
and wear around the fish stringer. Its ready to drop into another

If he doesnt like to ship then how come he sold the topper to me
as Im in Sydney Australia???
not having a go at you at all...just want to know how you are so

Also why has the seller still not been intouch with me at all??
its not like he doesnt know my email address??

Because I posted here asking if anyone sent payment for any of his items and
only you and Ron responded.

How in the world am I supposed to answer that?

I'm not sure at all. I'm just asking how everyone was so sure it was the
same guy. Marc's post with the same description of FT stuff for sale back
in November is pretty compelling.

>Also why has the seller still not been intouch with me at all??
>its not like he doesnt know my email address??

Again, how in the world am I supposed to know that?

I met the guy, seemed completely legit to me in every way. He had exactly
what he posted for sale in exactly the condition he said they were in.
NOTHING stood out as a scam to me in any way. I just want to make sure this
is the same person before lynching someone who doesn't deserve it. Again,
Marc's info is pretty compelling that this is the same dude, but I'm still
baffled by the whole thing.

Yes sir. Drove down there last week. Met him and even talked pinball for
about a half hour after we loaded everything up and settled up. Seemed like
just a normal pinhead to me.

He's several hours from me, but I was planning to be down that way anyway
for service, so I made the trip.

I've offered to both Ron and Marc to make a trip down there again if it
comes to it, and see what's up. If this is the guy though, and with all the
info about his current location and all, I don't see why the authorities
won't step in and encourage him to make things right.

Ron sent him a USPS money order & you can bet this guy doesn't want
the Postal Inspectors knocking on his door over Pinball parts & even
if he Moves, You can bet they willl find him ,

I've had Gmail problems like a lot of others for the past few weeks,
So I wouldn't hang the guy yet .

I don't find it baffling at all. This guy isn't a scammer -- he's
just a lazy SOB who isn't concerned about taking someone else's money
and then taking forever to ship him the goods or respond to his
emails. In my experience, the slackers outnumber the scammers ten to
one on the Internet.

Just today, a guy in New Jersey who I had bought pin parts from last
December promised (again) to refund me the $150 that I had paid him.
He's promised to send me the parts or refund my money several times
before, so I'm not holding my breath that I'm ever going to see my
money back. I don't consider him a scammer since he didn't intend to
screw me over from the start (I don't think), it just worked out that
way because of his inability to follow through with anything.

Was Bill Davis a scammer? How about Jonathan Deitch or Mark Capps?
I highly doubt it, but that doesn't mean I'd ever want to do business
with any of them. Whether a scammer or a slacker, the end result for
the buyer is the same unless you can show up on their doorstep like
Rob did.

Am going to do just that. I've used some of this new contact
information recently uncovered and sent him a few missives to make
right. He has 24 hours. If not, the authorities will be stepping in to
"encourage" him. If he pays me (or produces the glass- LOL)- then I'll
move to the "flake" camp. Otherwise, I'm in the "criminal" camp on
this guy.

It's possible he is just a flake. It's possible. But, in my situation,
it doesn't sound like this guy has a NOS EBD backglass or has even
ever seen one. He responded to MY WTB post- that should have sent up
red flags. I'm doubtful as to his intentions, but I'll give him one
day to make good. And Chris sent him money last year on that
playfield, so he's been paid twice for that (that we know of). And
remember, there are posts 5 years ago on similar stuff with this guy.

Nah- he's going to have to:

-pay up
-go to jail
-run

And, Rob- please do not confront him. We dont know this guy, and $325
is not worth getting hurt or anything.
Let's let the authorities take care of him.

Marc
FWIW- I had nothing but good dealings with Dietch, but Bill does still
have one of my pf's :-(

OK, Marc,
I'm not defending this guy & I do not know him, But think I have done
a deal with him a while back, Looking at the date this stuff was
offered up ( Oct, 2nd ) & looking at today's date ( Oct 12th ) that's
10 whole days,,,, TEN days & Monday was a holiday, So I do not think
the law or USPS would even bother with this at this point .
Not enough time has passed to start screaming scammer,,,, Just
saying,,

With all due respect, Del, this is the EXACT same guy who SCAMMED me
and others out of money almost a year ago. And in some cases, over the
exact same FT pf!
Absolutely the same guy. Period. There are other things we know that
we are not publicizing as we do not want him to know the extent of the
new info we have on him.
Oh, yea... it's the same guy- so spare me the "10 whole days"
If he's just a flake, then he has a very limited amount of time to
step forward and make everyone whole. He needs to send one of those FT
pf payments back and the pf itself to the other. I need to see my
money, and there are 2 others. Otherwise, we're going to nail him this
time.

Ok so who is this
Heather Phillips......????
As his pinballredneck paypal email has the user Heather Phillips as
the account holder and the account is only 1 week old...
well if he is to slack to get back to me or Paypal within 10 days of
me starting the dispute...and after both me and Paypal sending him
emails then
it seems very dodgy in my books...
I dont want to hang this guy at all...just want him to message me and
let me know that its all legit..
Too much to ask...????
I think not...
