... or "pros of having the flu"
I made up some score cards for my TZ that look great on the apron I
think.
Check them out and feel free to tell me if they suck or not.

I'll make a rule card eventually. I'm a little wiped out at the moment.

Honestly, I like them. They have a clean and sharp appearance,
compared to other custom cards that are cluttered up with junk images
and too much information about the game.

Thanks. That's what I was going for. I tried printing up a couple
others, but as you said they all looked cluttered & busy.
I wasn't sure if I should make the text more crisp and simple. Nothing
looked good on the computer screen. After printing it up and putting
it on the game I think it looks good, but I'm still neither sure about
the text nor what to do to improve it, if anything. Choosing fonts is
always tricky for me. Probably just need to quit staring at it for a
while - it's probably fine.

Probably obvious but I should mention anyway...
The blue "burst" pattern is intended to blend in with the similar
pattern from the apron.

Still can't sleep so I made up an instruction card.
The print ends up pretty small, but who reads these anyway? At least
it looks OK.
Also adjusted the color a bit and made 5 & 3 ball price cards (free
play).

If nothing else, at least it covers the holes in the apron. ;o)

Here's a quick & dirty pic of the cards in the apron.

That is a really cool look. I like it very much, and will blatantly
steal it from you to put in mine!

Thanks for sharing,

Gerry Manis.

Very nice integrated look to it. Good work there.

These are great - I really prefer not to have all of the machine data
on the cards (name, number made, designer, ect).

Your design, which fits right in with the apron, is as good as I have
seen!

Thanks for the effort & sharing . . .

I'm a copyright ninja shape-shifter and I WILL find out where you live
and remove them from your game while you're sleeping. ;o)

Glad you folks like the cards. I keep thinking of things to make it
better. I don't know how real artists feel like they are ever "done".
I guess it helps some to actually be good at it.
I was considering removing the star dots since that isn't on the
apron, plus a couple other things. I may make another version yet. If
you like any of these, do feel free to print them up for your own
game.

I think I came up with a keeper, or at least decided to quit fiddling
with it.
The color match is better with my printer, and I changed the design a
little

and here's a snapshot of the new ones in the apron

Enjoy. This was fun, but I feel done now.

These are great and I'll certainly considering using them when my TZ
restoration is complete.

If you don't mind I'd like to offer some constructive criticism.

I don't think you really need the stars in the background. It'd look
even better just black like the apron.

I don't think you need "Twilight Zone" on either card since it is so
prominent in the middle of the apron.

Just food for thought.

Nice work, looks great! You should get sick more often ; ).

We're on the same page Mark, though you may have discovered this
already. If not, note the later post with the newer version where I
removed the stars and at least shrunk the logo down very small. There
are a couple other small things I may change (like removing the
unnecessary logo altogether), but they don't bug me as much.

"Nice work, looks great! You should get sick more often ; )."

Really sucks to be sick, but I think I still like it better than going
to work. I might ought to get a better job ;o)

Well here's the final version of these cards.
I deleted the TZ logo since it's unnecessary and slightly clutterly.
These look nice & clean I think - no clutter.

Here's the picture of the apron with the previous cards. Imagine them
without the TZ logo and you got it.

Print some for your own use. Enjoy.

What's the trick to printing them out the correct size?

Should be 6" x 3-1/4" at 300 dots per inch.
Printing straight from your browser may not work right, so you should
open it up with some kind of software, set the properties to what I
listed above and print from it.
