This is a full list - all the ones with a count of 1 are the least
popular among the 261 owners that posted their pins. Actually the ones
that are not showing up at all are the least popular:)

place in here after LOTR, TSPP and POTC. Of course this was after
Mountain Coin blew them out last month at 2900 (like mine). I would
have thought at least Monopoly would have beat it out.

Perhaps "most owned" is more accurate... many of these low-count games
may be really popular but there just aren't many to be had.

great list ... noticed that if you combine solar city, target alpha
and el dorado, which are all the same playfields - just differant
number of players, the total count is 14.
PLUS, take atlantis, lawman and sheriff trio of single, double and
four player tables, you get a total of 13. this puts these two pin
families on the top 30 of rgp's hit parade.

first thread stops? Elvria in 40th place should probably be added to
Elvira in 31st place. The three separate Hulks should also be added
together. It will be fun to see the final tabulations. You should set
a closing date for the first thread before this gets closed out.

I'll wait for a while before I update the list, unless it looks like
the other thread stops. I also received a few emails with pin
collections, I'll respect their privacy and will add them to the list
too.
I'm not up to speed on every possible pin name, so let me know if
there are any other games there that should be combined.

1) If known, add the production run numbers and then you can calculate
the percentage of those machines owned by RGP folks. Of course I am
not expecting this since it would probably be a real pain, but thought
I would suggest it anyway.
2) More practical -- when listing the pins, if they have the same
number that is great, but when you continue to the next count you
pickup where you would have left off if you kept numbering normally.
See below for an example.

This shows that Attack from Mars is really number 7 on the list (ie,
there are six machines more popular). If you like, I can pull the
list together like this and send it either to you directly or back to
the group if people like. In fact, I basically have it in Excel
already.

Someone else already suggested adding production runs, to make it more
fair for the older pins. If there is a database with pin names and
production runs, I could add that column and do the percentage. Anyone
from ipdb.org can provide that? That would also help in cleaning up
the list. I can modify the rank column as you suggest, it's probably
the right way. I'm using MsAccess, BTW.
A couple of things about this list:
- First of all, a disclamer (in fine print): I'm not liable for any
errors:) But I will make correction as they are noted.
- The list is only as accurate as the mapping I have. Without getting
too technical, I'm changing different spellings, misspellings,
abbreviations and manglings from RGP posts to a full pinball name,
hopefully the correct one. Basically it's a table that looks something
like this:

Most are obvious, some less so. It's about 1500 names, most came from
the pinball abbreviation database. Some need to be combined, as I see
from the posts with corrections. Does anyone volunteer to eyeball the
mappings? I'm relatively new in this hobby (about a year), so another
set of eyes would probably spot a few mismatches. But I don't think TZ
will be going down any time... I can email the mapping list in any
format.
- Some abbrieviations point to more that one game, like SS (Scared
Stiff, Silver Slugger, Space Shuttle, Space Station, Strange Science,
Supersonic). For those I had to pick one (most popular one IMO). So if
someone has a Space Shuttle and posts it as SS, Scared Stiff will get
the credit.
- Lastly, this pinball ranking list is getting big so maybe it should
be posted on someone's pinball related website, and just a message
posted on RGP with a link when the list is updated? I can email
updates to a volunteering web host.

same playfield != same game;
Atlantis is a great game. Lawman and Sheriff are just ok games.
It's interesting if you combine the numbers, but it really doesn't make
sense. Solar City and Target Alpha are basically the same game with
different artwork. El Dorado has the same playfield layout, but the rules
are vastly different.

Access is the better way to go for sure. If you generate a nice
report, or even a text list I can look at putting in on my website.
The one warning -- I am looking a changing internet providers so I
