I then wired everything up as it was originally and replaced the
fuses. Same humming and then the same 2 fuses blow. With them
blown...the +12v led light goes out on the board. It may have been out
before they blew but I didn't notice until after.
All of the lights and DMD seem fine. When I go into the service menu
it shows pretty much every switch in the matrix as being active. It
also won't seem to let me save any settings...and had wiped everything
back to default settings.
Any guesses or suggestions?
You blew up some stuff it sounds like. I'd be checking bridge rectifier for
+12 volts and any bridge rectifier associated with F12 and F13 for a start.
LTG :)
Would they be on the board that the fuses are on (I/O power driver
PCB)? or the CPU / sound board?

Thanks Lloyd. I can't check any of those things but I had a feeling
it must have messed up something on one of the boards. Time to find
someone who knows their way around a modern Stern I guess.

Thanks for the suggestion Lloyd. As the kids on RGP say "e-mail
sent". ;-)
I just noticed something really weird...tournament is completely
missing from the settings menu and during attract mode it doesn't show
any grand champion scores or anything like that. Like part of the
systems memory is missing.
