Something that didn't need to be reposted in it's entirety, it's part of
the current spam flood from Google groups, all the more reason to use a
real news server like Eternal-September.

Yes, Eternal-September is doing a great job of filtering the crap - I
check the Google Groups via Firefox and there are hundreds of these
nasty spam every day it seems. I just sent them 10 Euros, seemed the
least I could do.

It is obvious that Google doesn't care at all about spam on Usenet. Why
did they bother buying the archives if they aren't going to protect the
users?

Is there anyone to report this to @ Google who actually gives a damn?

Nope, at least not that I know of, I suspect Google has left Usenet in a
dark and dusty closet and current staff aren't even aware it exists.

What happened to all the pinball players? Even Tommy Tutalidge is gone.

Migrated to Pinside in the great schism years ago I suspect. Usenet was
once the goto place but it seems the lack of moderation scared newcomers
off.

My theory any ways.

OK, I am replying to my post using the free NewsTap on my iPhone 6. It is
about as easy to use as email - I am happy with this interface!

This is well worth supporting by buying the paid version of NewsTap.

And don’t forget to send some $$ to https://www.eternal-september.org as I
am sure they have expenses…
